I made a PPV purchase for a show to see tonight but after waiting about 30 minutes the purchase history on my receiver still does not confirm anything. I did this by my credit card and it went through and i got an email but since the purchase history does not show up on my receiver i really am wondering if it will show. This was all done online. Does it always take a while for the receiver to get anything???

Nope, should be near instant. If you don't have you show any more than 5mins into it; you should call a CSR ASAP, and get it checked, turned on or credited. Check all your other receivers, if you did PPV via online ALL you units should get the same authorization.
this is one of the more mature PPVs i talk about so it should be working. it just does not show up on the purchase history of my box.
ahh; i would not worry about it and just check your online statement with DirecTV & your credit card company after about 36-48 hours.
If you really want to see it, I'll bet resetting the STB will do it, otherwise, what charper said.
