Hi Guys,

I have a problem, i'm adding DVR 921 to my currently i have 119,110, 61.5 going to dp34 and running two 301-013 with it, i added the 921 to the remaining two spots, ran two wires to dvr921. When i do switch test it does not detect 61.5, just shows 119, 110, and says just dual on the 3rd spot.

Why isn't the 61.5 detecting?

I have another dp34 i tested with that aswell same result.
I tryed only running 921 on ports 1&2 still same problem will not detect 61.5

thanks in advance here is my setup diagram.

Also, take the 61.5 input to the switch and barrel it directly to one of the 921 feeds. Do a check switch. On the check switch screen, you should show data for only one tuner, and one location on that tuner. If it still says Dual and no sat info, there might be something wrong with your 921.

Is your 921 running current software? Current software for 921 is L332. (DISH Network -- Support -- Technical) If the software is out of date it is possible that it just doesn't recognize 61.5 properly.
Indeed I observed this happening on a 501 and a 301, both of which were working fine through my DP34 until they started switching transponders from E3 over to R1 and 8PSK. (Neither a 301 nor a 501 can demodulate 8PSK.) Eventually a firmware update fixed this problem.

Hmmm. I see the 921 is supposed to handle 8PSK. But so is my 111, and it most definitely does not. Could be your 921 is still looking for transponders that went spot, but those aren't on for your locale as yet.

See if you have channel 9902 or see what your signal strength is for 61.5 on your point dish screen. Either will tell you if you are receiving 61.5.

My question would be, "would the OP see anything other than 9902 on the 921?" Without running & looking @ "the list", isn't everything on 61.5 MPEG4? Just a thought, the OP could be working hard to fix a problem that won't gain them anything...

edit checked the list & do see a handful of MPEG2's

There are only 5 or 6 HD channels that are MPEG2 and I don't think any of them are on 61.5.

Swap the 921 for a refurb 622 - free.
