Even though this is Tiger's 3rd knee surgery, I'm sure he has the best doctors in the world treating him and giving him advice. He'll recover and be just fine. Tiger still has a long, successful career ahead of him.

Nothing is a sure thing, and doctors don't have all the answers all the time. I do hope this doesn't shorten his professional golf life, but the rest of this year is now gone, with we viewers being the losers.

Yes. Now that we know the injury is more serious, your original statement is more realistic. However, I still think Tiger is much too good of an athlete and way too stubborn to let his knee be an excuse in the future.

So will there be asterisks next to the winners names of the British Open and the PGA, since Tiger won't be there? Geez, nobody can beat this guy, even with a torn ACL, and 2 stress fractures, and a 2 month layoff. I printed this before, but it bears repeating - Tiger Woods has said if they start testing for steroids, he would be the first in line. So the question is this - If he passes, what would be the point of testing anybody else?
