MY R15 and RCA Model DRD435H have both lost the signal to Sat B. ( zero signal) I have re-aimed my 3 LNB Oval Dish an am getting 93 to 100 on the Sats A and C. I have also replaced the LNB with a new one from Ebay.
Does anybody have an idea of what the problem may be?
Thank you for any help you can give.

is this the old 3 seperate lnb set up ?
If so, you have a individual coax going to each one, check your coax and connections for damage or a loose fitting or possible corrosion.
Or could it be that you still are not pointed correctly ?

If it is the older style 3LNB dish, there is an external multiswich that may have failed. But, checking ALL connections is the first thing to do.

It is a newer style with the built-in switcher. I am recieving full signal strength on
Sat A (101) and Sat C (110). Maybe something is blocking the signal from Sat B (119), like a tree that has gotten taller with leaves. The signal did seem to gradually diminish over time. I will try re-locating the dish when the rain stops.
Thanks for your in-put.

I moved the the dish 30 feet East on my roof and now have a signal on all three Sats. A tree that is about 50 feet away had gradually blocked Sat B. DUH!!!
I guess I now have a spare 3 LNB.
Thank you for your help.

NP, glad you were able to get it going ....
Now, to be quite honest with you, you should be upgrading to the 5 LNB set up (Slimline ) so you can get all the mpeg4 programming.

With only SD receivers, that wouldn't happen.

But the new rec's will be handling mpeg4 format in SD as well, isn't that what the R-16 is a SD DVR in mpeg4 ?
Or am I wrong about the R-16 being mpeg4 , if it's not, then there really is NO point in it being made.

You are thinking of the R22 I believe. DirecTV is using MPEG-4 from the Spaceway1/2 and DirecTV10 satellites for SD locals in new areas (and will probably use some of the transponders on DirecTV11 for SD locals also). All the SD locals on 72.5 will be moving later this year also. People in these MPEG-4 SD areas will get an R22 when they order a DVR. The R22 is basically an HR21 without HD capability.
