622 Guide - can you change dates?

Okay - when I look at the guide using the 622, is there any way to change the date of the guide without just pressing arrow button through every program until that date? I am hoping I am just an idiot and that the software has the capability.

Everyone always says this is the best DVR and better than Tivo, and there is all that crap about Dish DVR software infringing upon Tivo's, but I have to disagree. The search options suck on the 622 and Tivo has so many other features that it certainly would have "stolen" if it indeed did steal the material. Just sayin.

OMG - I've had this darned thing two years and I didn't know that. Is there a place on the site (or elsewhere) that has these kinds of tips?

LOL... There's a few of these little things while you are in the guide:

The "Skip Forward Button" is move 24 hour ahead.
The "Skip Back24 ward button" is move 24 hours back.

If you want to go 30 hours ahead in the guide, press 3-0- "Left Arrow". If you want to then go back 5 hours, press 5 -"right Arrow"

To search for other playback times of a program you are looking at in the guide, be sure to highlight the progam name, press the # key. This will enter the search function with that program name already entered in. Press "Sellect" + "Select" to search for that program. Or you can change the search term and look for what ever you want. Pressing "Cancel" once will take you back to the guide.

When you got the receiver the installer should have left you the instruction book.
All of the stuff is in the book. Check the dish website, maybe you can download a copy.
