We can count on these HD channels!...at least 23

ok, please help me with the math below and the theory about the current and past directv scroll on their website. we should be able to deduce what is coming that way.....

12 RSNs
2 showtimes
Planet Green
ABC Family
MTV2 HD---scroll
Outdoor channel2 HD---scroll
BET HD--scroll
Chiller HD--scroll

4 ppv's...but I have heard more are coming than that.

Also, note that chiller doesn't come until October supposedly.
--The scroll has now been officially updated with the above channels not there....

So, help me with the math...20 channels-chiller+4 ppv's=23 channels that we know of!

what am I missing? Just the addition of 7 HD channels...for now?

I can tell you that if D* adds BET HD and MTV2 HD with the same non HD only content that MTV HD, VH1 HD and CMT HD have been giving us for nearly a year and not add some HBO/Max HD premiums I'll be one very unhappy subscriber.

Thats a sad list indeed. I will remain optimistic tho. D seems to have had their pulse on what most people want. I'd say aside form premiums, most people want Fox News and Travel.

The other thing to remember, is D* did it right last year long before everyone else.

If they say they are working things out with pay providers, I take their word. Lets not forget all the HD lils they are going to start popping up too. 80% of my fall and spring programming is off locals.

The 12 that they are making full time are already available in HD but only on a part time basis.

12 current part-time RSNs moving to 24/7 are:

yes you are correct! I forgot that we have 95 now and need to get to 130. I think they will add Travel, lifetime, lifetime movies on the 14th also. I have heard that negotiations for WGN HD are not good and there is also no plan to add ESPNU HD either!!!!!!!!!! That was a shock for me! I hope they get the contract for ESPNU under way. Another site said that the problem lies in where the channel is located in the sports pack.

1 more. Count on EncoreHD. Encore and Starz are owned by Liberty who owns DirecTV. Dish has this now... cant see it being too long before it is added to D*.

D* has stated that on August 28th when ESPNU goes HD, that they will carry it.

I havent been on here the last week as we are doing alot with my wifes second pregnancy ...but where is everyone seeing outdoor channel 2 in HD at? is that a confirmation add for hte 14th? if it is that makes my dad very happy

I believe he said they "DID" appear in the scroll; meaning they were there at once and have since been removed.
