im new to the fta scene and i just bought a Neosat iPRO 2000 Plus and i currently have a dish that has "Dish 500" on the dish and a DishPro LNB i think it is a dual it has two white circles on it. i was wondering if i can use this setup on the receiver or if i need to buy something different?? any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

No, a Dish 500 is for pay-TV service, not for FTA.
You could use a dish like this 90cm model (36") .
And you need an LNB to go with it, perhaps something like this one.

Of course there are other bits of equipment that'll also do the job, but the above are good solid representative samples from SatelliteAV.
Actually, the owner of the company (Brian, About Me) has an eBay special in his signature, so if you'll take a look, both dish and LNB are in an attractive package.

Unfortunately the Ipro 2000 is another "FTA" receiver that is built and mainly marketed for ...hmm... let's just say "less than legitmate" purposes.

You can get FTA on it, but my attempts to do blind scanning didn't work out. Tell it the TP freq and SR and it will populate the channels, but that's it. Example:11720 V 27692

One more thing, the iPro 2000 appears to have a thermal problem. Mine malfunctions after a while until you let it cool off. The iPro 2000 plus version corrects this. I haven't tried it, but if you use fans to force cooling air and/or install heatsinks, it is reported to resolve the issue.

Sorry you don't want to listen to us? You need a bigger dish and a Linear lnbf. Another forum will tell you the same thing. Good Luck..!

If you want to watch the DishNet channels, you need a DishNet Receiver.... and a paid subscription.
