I am a Red Sox fan, but I am rooting for the Phillies to win this one.

They looked great all year long, plus Philadelphia hasn't won anything for the last couple years....none of their teams did, hockey/basketball/football/and baseball.

This is their year to finally win a championship ring.

As an Indians fan, the only connection I have to either team is the Phillies Manager, Charlie Manuel. He used to coach the Tribe from 2000-2002.

With that said, I can never root for an NL team. Go Rays!

Funny, I feel the same about the AL team...just can't bring myself to root for the NL.

Plus, how can you root against the Rays when Drew Carey's dad is their manager! (I loved Whose Line...)

Sandra

I'm going to root for the Rays, even though I feel the Phillies will win. I just hate the city of Philadelphia, not as bad as Cleveland, but enough to hope they lose.

Drew Carey's from Cleveland btw Sandra. I met him at a Browns game a few years back.

Go Rays. Rays winning the AL Championship proves that the AL East was one tough division this year. Competition is good. Now if Baltimore and Toronto can be become strong contenders next year, it will be a heck of a division.

I hate the Phillies(especially Shane Victorino), I hope the Rays blow the Phillies out of the water, let the MOHAWKS rule in Tampa Bay. Go RAYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+1 :up.

Let's not forget, the Blue Jays have the best pitching staff in the division- if not the league (although they could lose A.J. Burnett to free agency). They just need to add a bat or two to help supplement Wells and Rios.

The AL East next year will be a BEAST!!!!

Don't forget the AL Central. I fully expect the Tigers and Indians to be back and competitive next year. That makes the only dud in that division, the Royals who may just surprise a team or two.....

Yup. The AL looks very strong next year, and we haven't even got to the Hot Stove season yet! :up

wow hate is sure a strong word for guy that has done nothing wrong except for everything right against the Dodgers.

Let's work on your logic. If the Phillies beat the Rays, it doesn't change the fact that the Rays beat the Red Sox. In other words, the Rays weren't good enough to beat the Phillies, yet they were good enough to beat the Red Socks. That doesn't look so good for the Red Sox. If the Rays beat the Phillies, the Red Sox look better because they were beat by the team that ulitmately won the World Series.

I almost always root for the NFC in football during the Superbowl, especially if it was a team that beat the Bucs (my team). If they stomp on my team and then go onto lose, what does that say for my team?

You should be rooting for the Rays. Additionally, does the Cinderella story that is the Rays mean nothing to you? From worst to first means nothing to you?

I AM NOT a baseball fan, nor is much of my community. But the fact that our team, the Rays, has gotten this far, has really brought baseball fans and non-baseball fans together in this community to back our team.

In less than seven years, our metro known as Tampa Bay, which is made up of a mere 3 million people, has won a Superbowl, a Stanley Cup, and is now playing in the world series. As a non-baseball fan, I have been watching every Rays game for the last month. I am proud to be a bandwagoner! GO RAYS!
