Is anyone actually keeping a list of the number games in HD on NHLCI for both of the services?
I'm afraid to look over there at D*'s schedule...it might make me cry.
I was actually so dissapointed that E* still didn't have MSGHD this year, that after they autobilled me for CI, I tried to cancel it twice in september and then again the first week of Oct. Once by phone, then again by chat...I even have the transcripts. But somehow, I never got refunded and I still have the service...in all it's mostly SD glory.
I guess I could try to dispute the charges on my card but at this point I'm just gonna keep it. After hockey season, it's most likely OTA only for this household anyway.
At least your autobilled worked. I had to go online and sub for the third year in a row. They did manage to get the 3 installment plan right when I subbed though.

you are blaming the Canadian Networks which is wrong
The feeds are available for all who take it...and its the same feed
Canadian cable, telco & satellite companies...
same companies for NHL CI
US companies for NHL CI
so saying that the networks (RSN, TSN, TSN2, Score) are giving out crap picture is....well.....crap. Looks perfectly fine on a Starchoice system (Canadian DTH provider). Now if they grabbed it off a different source (say Bell which I have seen people do in the past) well then thats a different issue
and I thought last year you were leaving Dish because of these issues and the reason you were waiting is because you had a NHL CI contract still....so I guess you decided to stay with Dish, huh
WTF do you care? I will never go to Directv, the basic packages are more expensive and I will have my wife bitch slap you the next time PMS comes around.

On Saturday, 11/22, I saw the worst CI SD broadcast ever. It was St. Louis at Minnesota -- St. Louis feed (the only feed available on Dish CI).
The picture was extremely dark -- like the lenses were coated with the tinting used for car windows. All dark colors were virually one color -- black or a shade of black. The white uniforms and the white ice were like a dirty vanilla.
I can honestly say that the color broadcasts we got in the 60's were far better than what I saw on Saturday.

I wouldn't say you can't see the puck, comparing both the Panthers and the Hurricanes feed, the Panthers feed looks less pixlilated and the Canes feed looks like the brightness levels need to be adjusted and if there was a bit more bandwith it would be fine.
Not great, but it is at least watchable, especially on the Flordia feed...
Yesterday I was watching the Wings Vancouver game and it was breaking up like it was HD but it was SD. I even checked to see if it was raining hard but it was not. According to another thread Dish is having trouble with 119 sat so Dish really does not know how long it will take to fix this problem.
There have really been some quality issues during the past week. The Avalanche game on Saturday night had some horrible smearing (and it was SD!) - the players left cool (for cartoons) smear trails behind them as they skated down the ice.
Last night's Kings game was pretty horrible too!
I hate to bitch but it is getting worse.
I am not going to switch to Direct TV any time soon and I am really enjoying my purchase (this is my first year with NHL CI - mostly because I can't get RSN's with my HD only pack) and will probably repurchase next year. I love being able to watch the last period of a couple of games a night.

the SD RSN's on Dish are shared with like 16 other channels per transponder. They don't care. It's been shite for years.
I wish I could get a screenshot of the Rogers Sportsnet feeds from all regions, they are blurry and washed out. Totally unwatchable.
