TMP08 on 5819. On CONUS TP 19 at 110. Channel number is easy to change. Could be a new Latino or Mexico channel, too.



I think if we see more channels, it is illogical to think we would see them piecemeal. We should see entire suites of channels (perhaps absent one or 2 less popular channels like Fuel for Fox), not one or 2 from each.

Wouldn't there be room for 8 more channels? If they have uplinks for Golf and Vs on their own "channels" then the shared "Golf/Vs" channel will be freed up, won't it?

Agreed. I could see a situation where Charlie plays a little hardball with Viacom, saying "Look, we'll add Logo and let you shut down Nick Gas. And then we'll take a couple Showtime-HD channels, Spike-HD, Nick HD, and Comedy Central-HD. Come back in 6 months and we'll talk about the music channels if you get any HD on them by then. (Or any music,, for that matter.)

But we're not going to see one from these guys, one from these guys, etc.

Viacom, NBCU or Disney would be my guess (maybe a combo of the three) or it could be some premiums like Movie Channel HD. I would like to see all the Encore networks in HD (westerns especially) but I don't know if they even exist yet.


If we get ESPN-U HD That'd work out nicely for College Basketball season, especially since we already have CBSCS as an accompaniment.

One thing we're not considering...Ciel 2 will add some significant capacity as well, won't it?

They could have made a number of agreements with Fox/Viacom/etc...perhaps they agreed to add one or two channels from each now with he understanding that the rest will come on board when Ciel-2 is up (and probably to tie in with price increases.)

No, but you are right, that would be an excellent channel in HD.

Just add Comedy Central HD to this list and it works for me. I don't see where BBC HD has launched yet but it was supposed to launch by the end of 2008 and is a must have.

MTV HD aired the VMA awards in HD during the live broadcast. All 1000 repeats were in SD. VH1 has yet to air any HD. CMT appears to have some HD according to the guide, that I have seen flipping, but I never watch that channel.

Fox News HD is fantastic. I personally went from crying and whining without it while subscribing to DirecTV and BHN cable to getting it twice with DirecTV and FIOS TV, in a matter of a few weeks time. I love it. That and Fox Business HD are on in my house most of the day.

All 26 HBO/Max multichannels are available to providers in HD, so yes, there are a "few" more Skinimax HD channels than you get now with Dish.
