NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

Who in the world is clammoring for a matchup between a C-USA team and a MAC team? Hey kids let's pack up the car and go to Mobile for a mid major bowl game! You wonder why GM is going broke? Because they sponsor stupid things like this!

The stadium is was nearly full before, it will be the same after. There are enough people locally to watch a decent game, if thats what they give. Not a huge amount of out of towners at any of these mid major bowls anyway I would guess. The majority are locals.

Just for the record, I have been to the GMAC, Mobile puts on as good of a bowl game show before and during the game as any bowl available. They just dont have the major teams. Thats why I say it will stay. Its first class, even if it is a mid major

According to CBSSportsline.com, some additional bowl acceptances:

California is going to the Emerald Bowl

Nebraska will likely play Clemson in the Gator Bowl (after last year's nightmarish season under Callahan, props to Bo Pelini for a nice first season.)

Who is Florida, OKlahoma and Texas Tech back up QB's ???
I hope they got plenty of playing time this year when thier teams were rolling up 40-70 points a game.
Coaches that leave their QB's in when the game is out of reach is only asking for trouble.

Lets see when Bradford come out tonight , they are already up by 31 points, if they don't take him out by the start of the 4th, they are stupid.

Sorry to say, but Missouri quit a long time ago in this game.

No kidding. They are just standing around. It's gotta suck to know that you're gonna get blown out and then have it happen anyway. Kinda like being the Buffalo Bills in the Super Bowl. :D

I say on this site how much I can't stand the Sooners, but here's the thing-

you hate a team when you see them score and win the way they do on TV, but it's different when you listen to them in person.

I listened to Sam Bradford's interviews by the 'College Gameday' guys, and he seems to be a very nice and well-mannered person who just happens to be an ass-kicking QB.

Believe me, if I ever met Bradford, I'd love to discuss the finer arts of quarterbacks- when to throw the ball away, how many steps to drop back, etc.

Honestly, I would root for OU against Florida. Got to support a fellow Big 12 team, and I'm sick of seeing the SEC always win the national title.

48-21.
Middle of the 4th
Bradford still in there ... nursing a injured hand no less.

Stoops should have him on the bench long ago.
A classy coach would have pulled in the rains and ran the ball in the second half for the most part, up 38-7, but NOT Oklahoma.

Who to root for ......
Florida or Oklahoma .... Hmmmm

Always been a Urban fan, not nessasarily a Gator fan...
Oklahoma is worse than the Bucks in recent bowl games..... hmmm.

Both teams determined to run up the scores, don't care for that...

I'll probably root for Florida, all though I dislike the SEC.

Lots of time to change my mind.

OU just hit 60.

First team to do it ever in 5 straight games.

Florida, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!!

Remember, the Gators have not been tested against a REAL offense.

All their opponents have had offenses that are average or barely above-average.

4 minutes left in a 30+ point lead and the starting QB STILL in the game.
What a crock
Let's see what happens to Oklahoma if Bradford gets hurt

It's not always about sportsmanship.

It's about sending a message.

I have seen teams blow big leads in the fourth quarter. OU is trying to say, "Don't allow the other team to get back in the game."

john brantley is florida's backup qb. his dad was a gator qb and his uncle, scot brantley, played in the nfl for years. the kid ain't tebow but he's look good in mop-up duty!

Geez lighten up. Having pride in your conference is not a bad thing. Yes if FLA wins the NC game, ALL of the SEC won. They represent the SEC.. Get over it.

jimbo, don't forget which conference has won the national championship the past 2 seasons. and lets not forget who they played either!
