Thanks Scott,

Fixes: Audio drops off the Fox and ABC Sat feed for DVR'd events have been fixed.

Possible issue: On DVR'd Local events from the sat feed, video will severely lock/block/pixelate for 5-10 seconds while audio remains stable. This happens once, and then the rest of the event is fine. I be trying to investigate further by recording the show OTA also on another receiver.

OTA slight pixelation and severe audio dropouts on channels 7.1 (KGO) and 11.1 (KNTV) in the Bay Area. I checked the 211 and the 622 receivers and those two channels are coming just fine on those two receivers but not on the 722 receiver.

Tried an attenuator to drop the signal level and the same problem, both channels were fine before the software update.

Just to add another data point (report):

After seeing a few of these reports, I contacted someone with a 622 with L615 in San Francisco, and had them record the 11am KGO (ABC) local news and the Noon KTVU (CBS) local news - both in 720p HD, and they reported absolutely no pixelation and that the previous audio problems were gone. They did try live, delayed, and viewing after recording finished. They said that, if anything, the PQ looked slightly better than before.

Since L615, they had played back recordings made with L614 of the same satellite-delivered locals and they played fine with no problems. This included KTVU (Fox) programs that had audio problems when played back with L614 and now the audio problems were gone with L615.

I mentioned the pixelation reports and they replies that KGO (ABC) has had occasional pixelation for a couple of years, so perhaps the other users are seeing problems in the source ?

They do not use OTA at all, so this report is only about satellite-delivered HD locals.

OTA pixelization and audio drop outs and lost signal with new L615 software on both 622 adn 722 receiver. Much more then on previous software with the exception of me always having a signal lost issue once in a while on the OTA antenna, whcih might be my antenna, but the pixelization and audio drop outs are new.

With L615, the auto tune feature does not work properly. It turns the receiver on, but does not tune to the correct channel.

I watched the DVR'd event of "are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader" off the Fox40 Sat Feed this morning and about 1/2 way through there was 5 seconds of video breakup/blocking/pixelating. Again. Audio remained stable.

Resolution output dropped down to 480p. Second time this year this has happened.

I watched two episodes of Cops recorded from the Fox sat feed and there were no audio or video anamolies. However, when I watched E.R. from the sat feed there were audio drops like the ones on Fox and ABC before the 6.15 update, albeit minor. Video remained fine. I then watched the OTA feed, and there were no drops.

6.15 was supposed to fix the Seagate Freeagent sleep mode problem: the drive spins down after a while and when you go to My Media it doesn't wake up. The Available Space is correct, but no recorded programs are listed at all. Unplug the drive and plug it back in brings everything back. Been a problem since day one of EHD support with this drive.

So you tried it and it's not fixed, or are you just mentioning this?

Oh, ok. Is there any chance to disable the sleep mode ? Actually, let me ask - is it USB/SATA controller spin down the disk or the disk [FW of it] doing that ?

I got some weird issue since my system updated the other day, today I got hours of recordings because the guide wouldnt update the schedule for most of the channels, it stayed about a show ahead and then "no info available" was on most of the channels, not sure if its updating the listing properly....I reran a manual update (set the timer myself) and let it reconnect the signals and it still seems to sit and not update the schedules for the channels, this of course is completely throwing off some of my timers (well most of them) and its recording things for hours on end because it has no info about what show is on, tonight it taped Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles for almost 3 hours before I payed attention and so far it still doesnt seem to want to get the channel listings down

I'll check again in the morning, is it better to turn the DVR off with the standby or turn the receiver completely off for it to update properly, I know Dish says to put it in Standby mode (where it shows you all the info about your recordings and how many PPVs are on in screensaver mode kind of) and thats what I normally do

It's NOT fixed. In fact...in my case...when i access the folder the DVR locks up and reboots.

Yes - I should have made that more clear. In my case it is NOT fixed. I'm not having the same DVR locks up and reboots issue; for me 6.15 brought only folders to my EHD - not a fix for the sleep problem.

CBS in St Louis

Recorded CSI tonight on my 722 with L6.15. Watched it (or tried to) after recording finished, and the audio drops were the worst i've seen on any of the channels to date. I counted 8 in one 10 minute period. Recorded on #6454 CBS sat feed. I have not had any pixellation or freeze problems on any channels sat or OTA however.

L615 with 722 in zip 631xx.
recorded OTA Prison Break last nigh on Fox KTVI, got blue "lost signal" screen at least 4 times during playback. Not the yellow screen but a new blue one. The sound continued fine just a little pixilation and the blue box with lost signal.

I have good weather, and a decent signal strength, but I get a couple times a 30 minute episode where the video pixelates and the sound drops for about 5 seconds then comes back and is fine. Doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason when it happens.
