Theres been a pretty good run of episodes every day on Scifi... Next Monday is a mini marathon including Wormhole X-treme! starts at 8 am Est...

I am now knee-deep into season 8. Was pleased to realize there is still a whole season before the Ori arc.

Jack as general takes some getting used to, but its pretty good. I think i'll be encountering the "trust" before long (which is good in that I am starting to see the tie-overs with atlantis; first the ZPM, and then Weir.

I know. Torri Higginson doesn't appear until season 8; the first woman was in the end of season7. She was hotter, btw.

Yes, but I like Tori Higginson too. I think she did a great job as Weir. although she got decidedly more Canadian on Atlantis - she certainly wasn't on SG1.

Oh, I have no issue/problem with the job Tori Higginson did as Weir...either on SG1 or Atlantis. Just that the actress that originally played the role on SG1 was a bit easier to look at.

I'd have preferred that they'd have kept Tori on as Weir rather than go the "musical leader" route they did in the last two seasons.

Anyone know why Sci-Fi isn't showing SG1 in HD anyway? I know at least the last 3-4 seasons were done in HD...

Because they are cheap; Sci-Fi that is.
