HR2X & R22 5/1 CE v0304

Don't know how many of these I will be able to do. My wife is not too happy about missing over 1/2 so far of her TV viewing

- The startup time does not seem any faster on my R22-100.
- I feel that the when you pause something on one tuner and then go back to it using gameswap that it should stay paused, and NOT play when you go back to it.
- That dialog box that comes on screen is just annoying and wish it wasn't there.
- Dislike the 2 hour limit for gameswap.
- Guide or channel changing speed doesn't seem faster on my R22-100 either like others have reported.
- Wish there was a easy way to enable and use gameswap, like another key that you don't have to hit twice. When I hit it twice I must do it to fast because it doesn't always work.
- DirectvApps take a long time to load, about 30-40 seconds. I sure would like it to be faster.
- Seems pretty solid besides that.

HR21-100

So far this CE is much improved from last week. menus are fast and guide speed is better. it will improve even more in the next few days. i like the game swap change for the DLB's. makes sense since like i mentioned last week,i only see myself using this for sports. widgets are working as well. will report any issues I find.

this CE is so much better than last weeks. the dvr is faster and more responsive even when you activate the DLB's.

MRV Client

I am FINALLY HAPPY with this update as this got my HR22 & H20-100 finally talking to each other and I can watch recorded programs from either unit via the other unit. In fact this update CE v0304 finally made me go out to Costco and buy (2) more HR22 units to replace my current ReplayTV's that has been working flawlessly for 7 years on network in MRV mode.

Here are my suggestions on improving MRV. I would like to be able to tell a show where to record, i.e. which unit to record a program on such as den, master bedroom, etc. I also would like the ability to delete recorded shows from any unit, currently I can only delete on the unit the show is recorded on. Here is the scenario, I am in my bedroom wathcing a show that is recorded on the den unit, once I am done I would like to delete it without going to the den unit to do this.

Other than that a great update, this should go to National Release as it works.

This weeks CE is great. Here is what I have experienced so far:

- DirecTV Apps (Widgets) take around 30 seconds to open once the ">" is pressed. Cool feature. I can't wait for more apps to become available.
- When watching a show via MRV between 2 HR21's, fast forward and rewind have a slow response but, other then that, it's great.
- GameSwap (DLB) works ok. I think it would be nice if when the channel button is accidentally pressed it would be cool to go back and rewind what was missed. Again, cool feature though.

Okay got my new receivers and SWM installed yesterday. Downloaded CE last night. Cut MRV on and everything works good so far. I have a R22-100, H21-100 and HR20-100 networked together. Yay D*! I love you again.

This is my first CE - I love the fact that the receiver does not have to be turned to use MRV - as someone that had 3 replaytvs 4 years ago - this is something I missed greatly. I also like that if you watch part of a show you can continue it on the other receiver from the spot you left off. Like others said the ability to delete a show remotely and set a recording from a different receiver would be nice. Gameswap come football season will be great - right now don't see much use for it (for me). Good thing I convinced my wife to let me download this :)

My problem on Sunday was that the title of the show was one hour behind the actual show so several recordings didn't work...the remote is still slow, but better...

Since this is my first CE DL, I have a question.

If the next national update does not include MRV or DLB, will I lose mine, or will the update see my CE, and ignore?

Thanks

I have a serious problem with the MRV:

3 Hr22-100 , 1 hard-wired, 1 through a WGA600N game adapter and 1 through the new WET610N ethernet bridge.

Everything between the hard-wired and the WGA600N working just fine.

MRV working for a while between the hard-wired and the WET610N, until I get the msg "unable to access media". After I get the msg it no longer works. After restarting server , client and the bridge it works again until I do a trickplay and get the msg again.

It looks like MRV doesn't like the new WET610N ( it replaces the WGA600N , discontinued).

I would check to see if there is a software update to the bridge. I had the same problem with my router and I did a software update to it and it fixed it.

Have you tried just view SD? That may tell you if you got a bandwidth problem or even a overheating issue when sending all that data.
I am doing away with my bridged N routers for a more stable connection just for MRV.
