Dish Network is holding a Retailer Chat today, and while I will be tuned in watching I am NOT planning on doing a recap since it will just be a rehash of Team Summit dealer announcements. And because of that I am not expecting anything new.

However here are some screen shots which some might find interesting. ;)

I doubt we will hear anything on the TurboHD packages today, but with that said they are definately working on it. (Trust me on this) :)

AK an HI HD packages

Scott, are these the packages that are suppose to become active tomorrow? I presume that the bronze, silver, and gold go along with the basic packages.

Thanks for all your good info.

What do think they intend to do about it? There are a lot of angry people out there that feel they are getting the "royal shaft"! They think Charlie & Co. used Turbo to bait people and now they want us to spend more money to get the new HD channels. That's not good to do in this economy, or in any economy for that matter.

On another note, I once had an installer tell me that he feels that Charlie should be in jail. I bet he's not the only one who feels that way.

Maybe Dish can come out and tell us what's going on. They must surely know that they have many p.o.ed Turbo subs.

This is correct all the stuff mentioned begins tomorrow (unless otherwise noted) :D

I just want to know why my HD locals were delayed a week.
Even though I am not surprised that they were since that seems to be DISH's usual practice with locals.

Thats a little excessive don't you think? I dont know if charlie knew or not. My hunch is no.. I think the way the packages were setup, they were suppost to be exact mirrors of what the sd package was.. So if you had turbo hd gold you got what was in classic gold... ect...

Atleast thats how I would have worked them, and I belive they may be working them that way in the future to fix all of this.. Dont hold me to it as it's not offical and only gossip. I think dish will get it right.. give them time :)

The slide for HD locals is a bit wrong I think. They list the 'Twin Falls-Pocatello' HD market when it is actually 'Idaho Falls-Pocatello' and, unless I missed an announcement, I only saw one of our locals lit up in HD. Does one channel now constitute a market being broadcast in HD?

Edit:
I notice now that this is a 'planned for summer' market so we shall see...

Is it a total of $30 for the entire HD package?

I see my locals in Davenport, IA / rock Island, IL are back on again. Hopefully they will get uplinked and on SOON! They were mentioned last year and for some reason they disappeared.

No.

Whatever SD package you have now, you add HD to it for $10 a month extra.

Bronze 100=28 HD Channels
Silver 200=37 HD Channels
Gold 250=43 HD Channels

Thanks. Not sure why I was thinking of this as three different HD levels instead of the SD package I subscribe to.

If that's the case then I would expect this $10 fee to replace the $9.99 Alaska HD package and we have to pay another penney for the new HD channels.

What a rip off!;)

So, they are not offering the turbo packages to Ak and Hi. Humm, is this a hint that Dish is doing away with the National Turbo packages. To join the Absolute HD package.

Quad City Locals

Yea I noticed they were on the table and then pushed back also. I would be happy if they would even just add one or two of them as they become available instead of holding all of them up whaen they has disputes with one or two stations. Is there a reason they can't add the locals in HD one at a time as they can?
