Nothing happens overnight. Give them some time, they've got a new satellite coming and then they'll be able to jump ahead of Dish. They can't just go tit for tat on most of this stuff, each one has to increase their capacity first

I'm not cancelling. I might just not renew when my two year contract expires in Sept. I haven't decided yet at this point.

How often do they add new channels?

My mother has DirecTV and really wants MSNBC in HD. I'd be really happy if she could get it soon.
