The AL West 2009

Both Torii and Vladdy are now on the DL. The surging Yankees have a chance to eat the Angels alive this weekend.

Napoli will probably get some time as the DH, and he can certainly hit!

Torii is a HUGE loss as he's having an MVP-type season, hopefully he can get back in a couple of weeks.

The Angels have swept the Yanks!

Nice prediction KCK :D

Aren't you glad you didn't bet the house on your prediction this w/e ?

It's always nice when you (your team) can benefit when you expected the opposite to happen :)

Just saw some interesting numbers.... The AL West is supposed to be the weak division, right? Someone explain this then.... If the AL East is the toughest division, why do three of their teams have losing records against the AL west this year? And a fourth just got swept, of course, by an AL west team. It gets better, tho....every single AL West team this year has a winning record against AL East teams at the half. If WE'RE the weak division....why do we keep beating the Al East, which is supposed to be the hardest?

It's all media hyped :D

Just keep it up and maybe we can keep the AL East to ONE team in the post season. :D

They say the same about the NL West. The two best records in the NL are in the west. The two top WC leaders are in the west. And the west has the best record against the other divisions.

46 - 27 vs NL East
44 - 44 vs NL Central

This includes SDs crappy record against the other divisions.

Angels use 9-run 13th inning to beat Orioles 17-8 - MLB - Yahoo! Sports

The Angels are losing their minds on offense- another awesome display.

BUT they left the bases loaded TWICE in extra innings before finally winning! :rant:This was also the 5th blown save for our closer!!!! With only 2 off-days until season's end, they are wasting way too much energy and spending too much unneccessary time on pitching.

If there ever was a "bad win"...this was it!

Pudge back to the Rangers????
