I came home and was looking for something to watch and find the channels on 72 alive!!!!!!

San Diego and LA previously would have no signal from E6 while Nimiq 5 beam provides nice coverage.

Could you give us a signal strength reading? It would help calibrate the footprints.

Yes I am getting certain transponders like 1, 5,9,13,17,21,25,29 at 75 - 78 sat strength. So half of the transponders are stronger than what I got from Western arc 119 sats. I guess the rest of the transponders will go to the new sat by Thursday. This is great signal strength! Looks like rain fade will soon be a thing of the past on 72.7 sat. I still am tempted to use a 1000.2 sat dish for 110/129 and cover the 119 lnb with foil and use a side sat for just 72.7 sat. The best of both arcs with great signals strengths.

Tp 61 72 77
1 0 41 37
17 0 43 37
21 50 43 37
25 28 43 35
31 36 0 37

These numbers are a bit rough. My dish is (still) zip tied to a microwave cart, and peaked for 61 and 77. It is surprisingly plumb and stable, but is no means a permanent install. I have finally acquired a bucket and this weekend may buy a fence pole and some cement to make the mount more solid.

After 4-1/2 months, having all the channels is great!!

My signal strength has improved now that I checked it. And is it just me or is HDNET Movies much better looking than usual? About a month ago I almost gave up on the channel because it was too grainy and soft.

I'm not seeing any improvement in Northern California. I see a few bumps on the Broadlogic Spectrum Analyzer, but can't lock any. The Directv transponders lock fine.

Weird, I guess. Last week I upgraded my 1000.4 to a 1000.5, and my ss on 72 would still only max out at 55 or so. While ago when I checked, and it was at 68...go figure.
