NCAA Football 2009-10 Season

I despise Mark May ........ Ugh, he's the new Trev Alberts, not so NEW anymore though.

I'm floored that he's picking OSU to win after him bashing them all year long.

btw, UCONN will win this game by 7 or more, probably a lot more.

Most of the guys on ESPN are irritants, to me. They are all unemployables who can't get a job at McD's, so they run their mouths on ESPN. The only ones I actually like are Dr. Lou (except when he goes nuts about ND) and Bobby "The General" Knight (except he is sucking up to refs this season.) The rest are air pollution, although no worse than CBS or NBC.

May had to pick tOSU as there was no defensible way he could do otherwise and have an iota of believability. The game was closer than I would have thought it would be, but as my wife (a Buckeye) says "when it comes to tOSU vs. MI, there is no favorite until the final score is posted." :D

As far as UConn beating ND, I have to hand it to Fat Chollie, he was playing mind games with the kids and they did much better than I would have thought. His saying that he had no idea the "locked arms" thing was going to happen is an insult to the public. If he had no idea it was going to happen, he would not have been there with them, would he? He is incapable of telling the truth, it appears, to me. (Wanna know how little I think of the man? :D)

What an ending to the LSU-Ole Miss game. LSU recovers an onside kick and catches a Hail Mary inside the 10 yard line, but couldn't get another play off.

Houston Nutt is proving that one school's trash is another school's treasure.

For a minute, it looked as if Old Miss was toast.

LSU/Ole Miss had a totally screwy ending.

I wonder what McCoy will have to say about Les Miles' bad clock management.

The ending to that game, the spiking of the ball with "0" seconds left make me think of the old baseball joke about the coach telling the player he wanted a sacrifice fly when they already had 2 outs. What a weird ending. Brain fart anyone? :D

I am a little curious about the FIU/Florida game. That program at FIU is getting better and Florida, has not impressed me in the least. I am not saying that FIU will win, but I would NOT be surprised if FIU gives them a difficult game.

Good call Salsa ;)

FLA has beat all of its "cup cakes" this year, without any trouble.

Charelston Southern, 62-3
Troy, 56-6
Kentucky, 41-7
GA, 41-17 (Yes they are a cupcake this year)

The only teams to give them trouble were teams that had solid defenses. But they were still able to get by them all for their 21st win in a row.

Well I think its obvious for me. And vs Texas I like our odds. Big 12 meet Defense!

I think Alabama will be a bigger challange for us then Texas though. IF we can get past the tide we will roll past Texas in Jan.

I think your right one with this one.
Both Ala. and Fla. D are better than anything the Big 12 has seen to date.
The winner of the SEC championship should win it all, but heres hoping Texas can play with them.

I REALLY want Texas to lose a game. I'd much rather watch BSU/TCU/Cincy vs. Ala/Fla!

In reality, I don't think any of them stand a chance against FLA or Ala, or Texas for that matter, but they would have a better chance against Texas.
I know what you're saying, but you never know.....I thought Boise was going to get blown out of the water a few years ago against Oklahoma. They ended up winning in one of the most exciting games I've ever seen.

I want that too just so it will create mayhem. There's a chance Texas could lose too. They play at A&M this week and they've choked against them before, and they play Nebraska in the Big XII CG. Nebraksa has an NFL caliber D line so if they can slow down the Texas offense you never know.

Not gonna happen.

The title game looks like it will be UF vs UT and will not be at all surprised to see UT take that game. Their offense is one of the best I have ever seen on the college level, even SEC defense teams will have trouble containing them. UT's defense is pretty underrated as well, so that will be one exciting game.

Replace UT with OU, and it's a repeat of some posts last year. And we all remember what happened there.
