Thanks Guys!

We have a few of the engineers looking at this thread and your input is VERY helpful!

Please keep the reports coming in for the next several days. We especially can use any signal reports from the Pacific / Atlantic provinces of Canada, Central America or the Caribbean. SatelliteAV Mexico will be reporting tomorrow, but initial reports from Cabo on the tip of the Baja indicate very good signal reports.

the 1m is behind 2 positioners, a grounding block, a 4x1 and 100 ft of coax.
the 39" is behind 1 f-f connector, a grounding block, an emp 4x1, an sg2100 and 100 ft of coax.

i could throw up a 36" dish if youd like me to test that for you.

crackt out,.

Tonight 11842 is fluctuating between 35 and 42 for me! All other transponders are within 3 points, many within 1 point, of the values I posted earlier (which I believe are very high, someone told me my receiver only goes to 75.) Same hardware, same weather except about 10 degrees cooler.

In Puerto Rico with a 4.5 cw 650
Note did not adjust the dish just went up last night and move it I can improve more!

I know that if I adjust I will get more!

Regarding Cabo San Lucas, Mexico levels.
I did extensive testing on C band as well as Ku-band while there in Oct 2008, and found that 97 West was among the strongest satellites in the sky, rivaling the "local" signals from SatMex on Ku-band. A 1-meter Primestar offset was able to break the 85% Quality mark on most transponders, using Traxis DBS-3500.

GEOsatPRO 90cm motorized, tested with a Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra, Captive Works 600S Premium, Pansat 9200HD and Coolsat 6100 Private.
Location Northern Kern County Desert area So Cal.

One thing I've noticed is that my motorized 36" GeosatPRO dish has to be nudged a few steps WEST to peak the 11842 signal on G-19 but as I do I lost signals on the 11966, 12115 & 12177 while others dropped to lower levels so I positioned the motor to a happy medium between the two. It seems that the new frequency is off skew or outside the beam. This is my best way to describe it.

If I fine tune the dish position to the new 11842 freq I have about 69 -72% quality in So Cal but when I fine tune to the other resident frequencies the 11842 will drop to about 34% or less quality.

We have4 noticed something similar in NorCal as well. If 12115 V, 11966 H or 12177 V is peaked, the dish needs to be bumped west to peak for 11842 H or 12152 H.

Is anyone else able to confirm this in their region?

Yes I have to bump the dish to bring some TPs up to max levels. Not sure right now which way though. And as I said before, I haven't been able to get 11966 H good enough to watch yet at all, except when I was out at the dish the other day and cupped my hand around the feedhorn on the LNB.
