Pricing Update from Dish Network

Can someone tell me what the $2 loyalty credit 1 of 6 is showing up on my bill? Is this because I used to get charged $5 for a 2nd solo DVR and now it has gone to $7/mo or something else?

finally got my bill, ranted at E just got off the phone............

They tried charging me 5 bucks for downgrading service after the fee gouge, since I dropped AEP.

They had a charge for $256 equiptement fee for non return....... Now I havent swapped a receiver since my 721 days, many many years ago. But then they had a 253 buck credit. I demanded the 3 bucks back they had no idea what the charge was for. Only thing it might have been was a new card to replace a imbeded one for a 722 I picked up on e bay.
Obviously I had no card to return:( When I activated the 722 rep said forget about returning card.

I made general compolaint about receiver fees. The rep said how wonderful the 722 DVR is. Yep the box if I pause during a recording the recording stops, and the fun of lost sat pop up when OTA channel drops out:(

lastly and its pickyune E adds a 9 buck a month rental fee into base programming package for sales tax purposes, even though I OWN ALL BOXES.

E can make a nice side income by a mistake here a mistake there if it wasnt for the situation I wouldnt of called about the 3 buck mistake.

feel bad for the reps, E makes dumb move and they take the phone abuse

And amazingly you are still there. After all of us having to put up with your endless ranting and raving on multiple threads (including ones that had nothing to do with the fee structure) about how you and everyone should cancel, you are still there. And amazingly, no one here is surprised! :rolleyes:

As I statyed earlier to get comcast a LOT of stuff in my garage MUST be moved, and put in driveway./

We have had over 75 inches of snow my driveway is pilles of white crud.

Went to pittsburgn home show last nite, wierdly Comcast wasnt even there.

Plus a really good friend has TIVO. If you think I rant a lot about E you should hear him about his high def Tivo. It hasnt worked well in over a year and tivo hasnt helped a bit:(
 
My math did end up being right. I have pretty basic setup and my bill went up $10 per month. Getting the $5 loyalty credit for six months, but that doesn't mean much.

Either way, i'm going to have to figure out something to cut down my bill. With the price increase on programming later this year, something has to give.

You've known about $5.00 programming reduction fee for years. Cry elsewhere.

All he needs to do is go out and breath on his driveway. He's got enough hot air to melt all the snow in Pennsylvania.... :)

Just for the record, I've Been an E* customer since July 2007, and I've not once had to pay this downgrade fee.
And I drop and switch Programming A LOT.
They always waive the fee, and I don't EVER have to ask them too.

This is what they say everytime.

"There will be a $5 charge for completing this transaction, is that OK?"

I always say" Yep, No problem."

They Respond
" Since you are a valued Dish Network customer, we will go ahead and waive the $5 charge"


This is exactly how this has happend on atleast 5 Chats and 10+ Phone calls.
Yes atleast 15 times. Still not once have I been charged.

I switch my Premiums Monthly, sometimes I have 3 sometimes 1, sometimes 2.
Same with Super Station and Multisports pack.

Who's E? If you mean Echostar, they are not who you are talking to. It's DISH Network, the service provider that uses Echostar equipment that you are talking to. E = Echostar is/are the hardware, satellite, etc. aspect who is now making hardware that other providers are using. Arg! Arg! They split and are now, have been for a while, two separate companies, unlike the two/one that they started out to be. With all the information and knowledge that abounds in these forums, it just bugs the h*ll out of me when people, professing to be knowledgeable, refer to the new entities wrongly.

Well for the last 14 years E stands for dish network, to the customer its still one company, since we have no choice whos equiptement to use.

I really could care less what their latest corporate structure is:)

Bugs the hell out of me when people don't have a clue on what they are bitching about.
If you had any knowledge on DBSTalk and Satellite Guys you would know already why we refer to Dish Network as E*.

What happened to your "I'm going to FIOS"? And here I thought we were going to be spared the BOB rants anymore. Of course I been too busy lately remodeling a duplex to read that much.
 
I've been a loyal dish customer for longer than I can remember. However this latest price change is driving me to leave. I've been an absolute HD customer for quite a while, I'm no longer happy with the channel package. I've got four recievers, 722, 622, 510 and 508. I pay for the hardware warranty by choice but with recent price changes I pay more in fees than I do for my programming. This is just unnacceptable any longer, I keep waiting for a reasonable package or price and none are coming. I have a large home and a large family, having fewer tuners/recievers is not going to work for me, looks Like I've got OTA and maybe cable in my very near future.
