I just added another HD TV and my box is a dual box so how do i get HD to my new TV?

I know the box only does 1 SD and 1 HD so do i have to get another receiver? If so how does it hook up? There are only two coaxial cables coming into the house from the Dish.

There are people on the board with the expertise on how to do wiring, but you can run HD off a 622 or 722 to two TVs by using both the Component and HDMI outputs. Of course both TVs have to watch the same thing. To get different HD programming on two TVs you will, so far as I understand, need a second satellite box.

CDH.

I asked the same question a year ago and was told to purchase an HDMI splitter from Monoprice as well as an HDMI cable of suitable length. This setup works perfectly. Of course, you'll see the same program on each TV

How long can a HDMI cable be anyway?

If i where to get another box how would the hook up be? More cable from the dish to inside the house? I can't recall how it works i ran the coax myself a few yrs agao.

Thanks.

You can find them 100' or greater, some have built in boosters so the picture quality doesn't suffer, and so on.

If you already have 2 coax's coming in only 1 should be used for the receiver you have right now but it depends on how they set it up in the first place.

The connection from the new box would be component, unless you have another hdmi cable available or bought one from dish.

The only other difference would be the $7/month add. hd receiver charge.

yes. to view HD on the second tv, you'll need another HD receiver.

Ive seen HDMI cables as long as 50 feet beign installed while I was doing the satellite portion of the job. The Home Threatre tech there told me the cables were expensive. His shop charged $200 each.
TO answer your other question...If there is RG-6 coax home run ot that room, then no. There isn't a need for more cable to be added. If not, yes. Cable will need to be added.

The price of 200 is way over what one is worth. I would say got to monprice.com to get a price but they're down right now doing maintenance until Tue it said.

Does the new 922 offer dual HD output on each tuner? For some reason I recall that being one of it's interesting features. You should check it out and that may be your answer.

BTW- I feed the second room TV which is an HDTV with the 722 SD output and you can get wide screen with no distortion but the quality is still SD. What saves us is the monitor is a good one but only 26" So its forgiving on the SD quality.
