Any idea why I can't get RTV on AMC9 @ 83deg W?

90cm Fortec dish
Pansat 3500 SD
Invacom QDF 031 LNB
Lake Arrowhead , Ca. 5,500 ft. elevation

I get AMC-9/3F at 69% quality, so I know I'm pointed at AMC9, but that's the only AMC9 channel I can get.

What am I doing wrong?

Double check if you have the proper freq....11735H, s/r 4.444 fec 3/4, if you are getting Nbc newschannel on transponder 3f you should get Rtv with no problem.
Also check if your lnb is either set for standard lo freq. (10750) or universal (10600). Good luck...mrsat1

Can you list the Transponder info from the Receiver you are locking, and trying to lock?
What do you have entered in the Receiver for the LNB Setup?

thats pretty low for that TP. Right now I show 93/94 quality on my Pansat 1500/30" dish in Minnesota

Got It!

Well I can't say I really understand how, but I'm now getting RTN at about 40% Q.

After I added TP 11735 for RTN, and then scanned all TPs, my 3500 did not find RTN. Then, on the antenna setup page, I tried selecting TP 11735 and then doing a scan from the same page ..... wahlah ........... it found RTN. I always seem to have trouble with the 3500's arcane menu system and poor user manual.

Thanks for your quick replies.

Now, on a related note, where can I get Titan programming for RTV? Titan's KLSM shows "Programming Unavailable" and hxxx://www.rtvoregon.com/kslmschedule.pdf dosen't match what I actually see on RTV (west).

I've also got a problem locking in rtv, I can only get about 38 quality on my satwork 3618 receiver. I have a 10ft sami c-ku dish. This afternoon I even took a tv out to the dish and tweeked the dish and still cannot get more than 38 quality. Could my ku lnb be too weak or do I need a new receiver? Even with the 38 quality the picture still breaks up and is not steady. Any suggestions on what to try?

My Coolsat 7100 and Diamond 9000HD work on RTV with a setting of 11731H4424. That is not really the TP but it is what works with those reveivers and that LNBF.

The Satworks meter reads low. Always have

I think even the DBS sats read about a 50 quality.....38 IIRC was actually pretty good quality numbers
