2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs

We will see about that

Hope they dont take the Avs to lite in the first round

To say they whooped on the Avs last night, I dont think my team has much to worry about

Sorry Goaliebob,
Experience will prevail :)

Your probably hoping to NOT see the Red Wings.

Hell I want them to see the Red Wings in the playoffs, it would be sweet revenge from last year! :) :up

Bill, which round 1 opponent do you want- Buffalo? New Jersey? Pittsburgh? (It'll be the first time they play a postseason series against a team other than Montreal or Carolina since 1998!)

My Sabres are a bipolar and somewhat inconsistent team. We may have a super stopper in Ryan Miller, but we don't have any offense- these Sabres are a far cry from the 2006 and 2007 teams (Miller can singlehandedly take them to the East Finals, but the offense is punchless enough that they could be one-and-done)

I'm not expecting much from the Bruins in the postseason (OR the Celtics for that matter), but IMO, the Bruins matchup better against the Devils.

The Canadiens clinched a playoff berth with their OT loss, and will be the #7 or #8 seed pending tomorrow's Rangers-Flyers play-in game.

The Bruins are now locked into the #6 seed.

Regular season is over !!!

Playoff picture for the Western conference

San Jose vs Colorado
Chicago vs Nashville
Phoenix vs Detroit
Vancouver vs LA Kings

Home teams are in Bold

The East is almost set.

Flyers beat the Rangers to get the last playoff spot (my condolences to Sandra).

Pens and Sens are already locked in as the 4-5 matchup- Capitals face the Canadiens in the 1-8 matchup

All that's left is the Sabres and Devils to determine the #2 and #3 seed- the #2 seed gets Philly, the #3 seed gets Boston.

Sorry GB...another thing Chicago has going against them is Hossa...remeber the guy who failed to show-up and lost the Cup with Detroit last year and Pittsburgh two years ago. Plus, the Blackhawks have a serious goaltending issue going into the playoffs. Sorry satjay, I thought I was quoting Bob.

Thats OK Jim,
The Hawks will have thier hands full with Nashville.

Devlis beat the Sabres 2-1.

It's official- Devils are the #2 seed and will face Philly.

Buffalo's the #3 seed and will face Boston (batten down the hatches, Bill! It's Boston-Buffalo again- just like the good old days of the 80s and 90s)

Great job on playoff scheduling NHL

Just one example:

Wings and Coyotes, unless I'm mistaken and please correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Phoenix 1 hour behind Eastern time zone ?

IF thats the case, most games start at 7 or 8 pm, why does this playoff series wait till 10 pm for 2 nights and then when it goes to Detroit on a weekend do they start an hour EARLY at 6:30 pm.

So now the Wings that you would think would be happy to play in Phoenix because it's only an hour difference, play the LATE game as if they were on the west coast.

It's bad enough on the fans trying to watch them during the playoffs when they play most of the teams in the pacific tz as well as the team, now we catch a team that is NOT in the Pacific tz and STILL can't stay up to watch them.

Phoenix is 3 hours behind right now

Arizona does not observe Daylight Savings time so they are on Mountain STANDARD year round...so right now its the same time in Arizona as the West coast...so those games start at 7:00 local time

during the winter they are 2 hours behind Eastern time.....they are never an hour behind (unless you're in the Central Time zone)

Thanks for clearing that up, that now makes sense, I forgot how far west they really were I guess.

They have been talking about moving the Wings to the East for many years now, but never seem to do it.

I still find it ODD that the Wings are moving thier games UP an hour, maybe it's only :30 minutes but just the same.

Funny the Stanley Cup champions doesn't get one NBC game in the first round but Detroit who lost to the Stanley Cup Champions gets two.:rolleyes::rant::rant:

To say they whooped on the Avs last night, I dont think my team has much to worry about

Other then the Red Wings :D

Redwings seems to be our Kriptinyte. We came so close to winning that game, I was yelling at the TV when the puck hit both crossbars and never went in. Had it gone over, thats it game over in overtime! Redwings Loose. But it's ok with this loss, as we needed it going in to remind us how a big loss like that feels. Now, its on to the playoffs where we will begin the march for the cup, in the new hockey town, CHICAGO! Sorry detroit, if you are so honored to meet us, your getting your ass whooped! :D
