The Dish Tea Party Thread!

Add the new guide with the forced PPV line, and my major unhappiness with the fees.

My receiver is unstable tonight rebooting itself from the guide change software.

E is now worse than the cable company E freed us from so long ago

Remember it only took one person to start the revolutionary war against the king back in the 1887. That one person turned it into a movement, wich turned into war

Ummmm if you flip a quarter you would know independence was in 1774 we did celebrate a 200 year one in 1974.

Just how ignorant are you people when it comes to the America Revolution? Here's a simple answer for folks in the fog.... !sadroll

Yeah, I know, I'm thinking of that famous document, you know, the one that starts out... "IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1774"

NOT!

Dish is no different than any other large company. They are just another part of "Corporate America". Dish is not your friend. It may be your TV provider but not your friend. The idea that a company will "really" value their individual customers went out the window with the honest mom an pop local gas/service station. The bottom line is profit and stock holders. They will push fees and charges as far as they think they can, up to the point that they get a bad name and start losing customers. The Charlie Chat is all smoke and mirrors. (aka BS). Don't get me wrong, I like their service and have been a high end sub for many years. Don't think that they will come down here and read a few threads and change their ways. They will only change things if it is first and only first in their best interest. I have read many posts by people that vehemently defended Dish or Direct as if it was one of their own children. I have been a sub of Dish for a long time and enjoy their service but I am not loyal to Dish. They should be loyal to me!

LOL, which nation is that?

If you're referring to the United States, that was about a hundred years earlier and there were quite a bit more than one that was perturbed at ol' king George, it was the combined effort of 13 independent colonies that did it.

In my Taliban voice, OK OK YOU GUYS GOT ME :D :) For some reason I thought it was 1887, but if I remember right, the army's birthday is in 1775, so Thats what I meant! LOL Thanks for the history lessons :D :) Can we get back to our regularly scheduled grump against dish network. I just wish they would fix there crap so I can stop complaining! You would think that dish would have some sort of corporate responsibility for there customers. Ya I know that's an Oxy Moron, just like Military Intelligence!

Now, What will it take for Dish to get things done, and how much more complaining will it take for them to fix it!

I have the Dish everything pack plus sport package which I may drop why NO HD CHARLIE THE NUT!! I believe that in five years Dish will not be around why---the internet. I have broadband speed of 50mb down and 12 mb up. Net results internet tv looks almost as good as dish. Most cable networks are investing in equipment that will accommodate higher internet speed because they believe that is were the future of TV will be.

Most people do not have access to those kinds of speeds. Best I can get here is 1.2 mbps down, .2 mbps up. Don't see that changing anytime soon. Granted I'm in the sticks, but even bigger market areas than this can't get those speeds.

I should have also included in my post how fast things will change in a thread by certain posters in the attempt to conceal the original theme of a thread........;)

sky reports had a article that cable and sat may go the way of home phones, and already is.

I have been thinking of this here, my issue is complete confusion and being too busy

tivo has that download service anyone know what it offeres?

I am thinking we create a forum called "The Bobs," moderated by special guest Bill Lumbergh, and just let them go at it. :D

For the record, I am a very happy Dish Network customer. Got pretty much everything I could ask for. Only complaint has to do with Sling moving away from the stand-alone player, but that is minor.

I'm very happy with my service except for the occasional game that is not shown in HD on my RSN.

To those who don't know your basic American history: You watch too much TV. Go back to 5th grade. Do not pass GO. :D

Im mad so its time we have us a good ole fashioned TEA PARTY!

Pet peeve here but the REAL tea party was a protest against taxation without representation. Extending the phrase to a protest about the level of taxation is a stretch but at least understandable but using the phrase to discuss individual anger at a company you do not have to business with isa bit much.

This is just a rant about DISH. I happen to agree with a lot of it but it really does a disservice to the original tea party to use the phrase here-----and to claim this is an "old fashioned' one to boot is too much.

Not quite. The Revolution started in in 1775 with the Shot heard round the world at Concord and Lexington. Independence was not declared till July of 1776 and the bicentennial celebration centered around that event.

I have no idea what the OP meant when he discusses the revolution starting with one person and referencing a date in the 1800s. There was no revolution then and the American revolution did not start with one person.

Agree with you about the overall satisfation with Dish. I've had Dish for three years now, and I'd wager that overall customer happiness is probably higher now than anytime since I've been aboard. Sure there's things that could, and maybe should, be improved, but it's nice to be ahead of most providers when it comes to channel adds, instead of the last to get HD like it used to be.

I meant 1776 at that hour in the morning I was just going to sleep plus iPad is at fault, remember we always blame someone else. Typing sideways sucks. But hey I was 2 yrs off.
