Err- Might want to read this thread about what D12 will actually be doing. Doesn't look like a lot of extra channels any time soon. But maybe, after D10 gets "fixed......."

Think people want to know what D 12 will be doing that was on the original schedule for it. The fact that they will use D12 to help out for a bit while fixing d 10 is GREAT news, once 10 gets fixed they can add all the more.
How much are they going to be able to fix D10? Maybe not 100%.

The fix is for spot beams and therefore won't affect the national channel capacity. So if D* claims 130 HD channels now, the capacity D12 will add is 80 channels. Whether or not D* will use all of that space for national HD does remain to be seen.
