Nope - two different companies. Epix2 is an Epix multiplex channel, a la HBO2. Retro and Indie (in the Starz/Encore family) got remapped to different channels earlier in the month, so the old channels were just removed in this uplink.

So, far DIY is 16x9 but SD picture quality

While, Univision and Telefutura are clearly full HD (tiny facial pores visible) .... but are 4x3 ... while ads for later programs are in 16x9 HD...

The schedule for EPIX2 looks like West Coast version of EPIX1, but the content does not match.
So Dish/Tribune messed up again, I guess, and it may really be EPIX2.
Having the wrong descriptions sure makes it hard to pick what you might want.

Yes, we could use another weather channel because the current weather channel on 214 that we have does not show weather all of the time now. They have their own shows on. Reminds me of MTV not showing music videos all day like they used to.

The better name for 214 should be "The Commercial Channel". If you need weather, check out the services available on line. The reports on weather happenings are made to be dramatic to keep viewership levels high. Unless you are being affected by a local event, weather is booring. Check out Dish ch 100 for important local weather and forget "The Commercial Channel".
