-.-. .... .. -.-. .- --. ---
I'm divorcing you! After sweet 9 months of fighting, I am ending this bitter breakup with a real service. I'm going to the satellite leader of yesterday, today and tomorrow. I'm sorry to say, Dish network will never be the leader of DTH services no matter how much wishing you can do!

I tried to let you know where you were going wrong and what you could do to keep me and gain millions of customers. Did you listen. Nope. Instead you say that your saving me money by fighting for me. After comparing your prices to Uverse, Comcast and Directv, I came to the conclusion that the two bucks saved really isn't worth missing out on the programming that I want. It hasnt been worth all of the pain and agony of trying to get you to change your nasty ways and see the light! Infact, it has cost you coustomers and it will continue to do so once word has hit the street, and its hitting the street.

If you cant support my needs, then I'm not supporting you! No more. While I understand that you might have had issues in the past launching birds, it isn't an excuse to ignore customers and not take the hardball questions anymore. I'm getting rid of the fluff out of my life! There were measures that could have been taken to ensure that you remain in the drivers seat through the tough times.

No longer will I be enslaved into watching programming on your terms with the half assed effort of HDRSN's. If I want to watch a replay of a ball game at 3am in hd, or catch HD replays of my Stanley cup winning black hawks when there isnt a game on, I can now do so, as everyone else except dish network customers can.

I also get more HD locals with out the use of an over the air antenna with my new provider as they now provide 10 of my local channels in HD where you only give me 5 local channels. My new provider also doesn't have an issue providing PBS in HD as I get two PBSHD channels, with independent programming.

The tipping point was the Disney channel dispute. Your ego is so big that you have to hold customers hostage and take away programming that your customers paid for. Honestly, if your not paying your bills why should you expect me to pay mine? While I understand that programming providers have spats from time to time. Dish, Your track record is the best when it comes to taking programming that I, My family, watch. No longer will I worry about having my channels taken away, for the most part. So for this, Good bye, I'll still visit here and see if the same old Charlie exists, of all flash, fluff and marketing spin.

I have many other reasons on what you did wrong but there is no point on crying over split milk.

So Goodbye!

This is indeed a day in Dish history...where they say goodbye both "Bobsy Twins" at the same time.

You guys made Charlie's day.;)

Edit: OK, wait a second. You wrote a letter. But, have you canceled? A yes or no will do.

WOO HOO!!!

Welcome to the good side Bob :)

Where we have
HD RSN's...all the time. No needing to worry if the Cubs or Sox game (in your case) is in HD or not...IT IS!
Sprout for the little one
MLB Network...if you like baseball the MLB Net rocks!
no random receiver fees....add one its $5 :)
The U (WCIU) in HD (since they carry Sox & Cubs games)

and much more

Everyone knows that for sports you want DIRECTV and for movies and premiums DISH. I am glad you realized it is easier to switch providers than to fight to get DISH to change Bob. Life is too short to waste time fighting city hall or in this case Charlie Ergen.

I am going with FIOS it appears 10 bucks a month cheaper than comcast.

$120.90 with tax for contract free phone internet 15 meg down and tv........ including 2 cablecards and a regular receiver that gets VOD

Thats about or a tad less than I was paying just for E before the feb fee jacking.

On line verizons price shows 10 bucks less, I wonder if thats really true?

Now you're asking in the wrong place. Pack up and get on the Verizon boards and find out. Bye!

I'm not sure what Verizon puts in the water up there if PA Bob, but we've enjoy superior quality, the best pricing, and not one second of downtime for any of our TriplePlay bundled services down in TX for the past 30-months. One of my best friends has been with FiOS Virginia (all three services) since October 2006 and has enjoyed an identical experience. I hope you enjoy FiOS (if that's you decision)...hopefully, they've finally unscrewed their billing system.

Only dish is looking like the ass since it seems more folks who put up with E* for so long now moved or are moving to D*

i'm happy for all of you who have switched to directtv!!! Having said that, this is the DISH NETWORK FORUM, soooo... please have a little dignity left and GO AWAY! you make me sick with all your whining, and we all know you switched because you finally realized everyone here is annoyed by your presence. I doubt your presence will be welcome in the D* forum for long if you complain in the manner their as you have here. good riddance.
