hi new to this forum just joined directv and i feel they are liars and bunch of thieves first i asked for whole home dvr service and hd so they send me a standard receiver and wrong programming. so i have to cancel then i have to redo everything including new install date cause they wanted to charge me 199 for hd receiver i asked for in the first place . so i decide to give it a second shot i ask if i can get hd for life they say yes if i sign up for auto pay , this is when i asked the rep if i could do that later i was told yes so i decide to wait , i go online see my first bill is 64.19 that is-insane for choice extra so i ask if i can get hd free by signing up for auto pay and im told its not part of my package , i explain to the rep what i was TOLD and she says there is not notes on that and she could do nothing, i regret leaving dish cause i paid less for more channels and i was never lied to im sorry for long post but i just feel that is to much money especially if that is with the 29 dollar discount.direct tv is full of liars telling customers anything just to sign them up.

I`ve been a DTV subscriber for 8 years and was dicked around when I renewed my 2 year subscription. I was told my monthly bill would be a certain amount and when I received the bill (autopay) it was higher. I had the name and employee number of the CSR and DTV denied the deal I was promised. Next time I`ll record the conversation. Subscriber BEWARE!!!

You say you got Choice Extra? What did you ask for? I'm a little confused on the HD for life part, why won't they give it to you now if you agree to autopay? Did you ask to be transferred to a supervisor to voice your concerns or did you stay with the 1st CSR that answered? Your realize HD and DVR server are add on fees....correct?

there was an issue with some bills this month . should be corrected on next month bill. but if you like I be more then willing to look at your account to see what happened.

Sentence structure, punctuation, and a bit less woe-is-me and I may finish reading your rant.

From what I did read, you have a mess, but once you sign off on the installation it is final so to speak, things like equipment. The Free HD offer ended a week ago or so, so it depends on when the order was placed. Call in and ask for a supervisor, try to sort it out.

I thought the Directv is perfect forums was over at dbstalk?

You're right, the title would change and the padlock would be on.

Here the op is free to say his impression (as you have), just isn't much any of us can do about his situation. He needs to call, or stonecold offered to look into it for him, not sure what else needs to be said.

As the unoffical rep here I like to point out that I have offered my services to help any way I can to both people who felt they were lied too and yet no one has contacted me.

I'm actually surprised since I am a skeptic. I received my second DirecTv bill yesterday and so far the two I got are exactly what I was quoted by the CSR (all rebates etc are right) I did follow instructions concerning rebates to the letter before install. I don't know if that helped or not. The only problem I have with Direct is during bad storms it goes out (rain fade). Never had that with c-band , but that's the nature of ku.

Don't take this the wrong way stone, but you can't blaim people for not giving their personal info to you even if its in a private chat. Its still not secure or private. The fact that your on the Satellite Guys website asking people to give you their info is also creepy.:)

We don't know who you are. Can we call D* and Verify that your aloud to help us with our D* accounts on Satellite Guys?

Hey Directv, StoneCold is helping us out on our Bill.

Not to professional sounding.
Why don't you work for the D*.com Support Forums? Or Direct the Satellite customers to there and help them. Atleast then your on a secure site ran by D* the company itself.
Thats a little more comforting then people giving out account numbers, and addresses in a private chat.

All I ever ask for is a telephone number.

Also there is a number of people who swear by me so who given me way more info then i need. I never ask for anything they would not give a normal. And ask anyone I ever talked to on the phone to help them out lwyas given my real name.

So Hemi slow your roll and go back to getting your tail pipe cleaned.

P.S. Just a secondary thought I call them on the phone . so unless there phone is tapped they are not getting any private info. I delete pm often as soon as I get them in case they have given me way too much info . Also were talking about directv and not Bank of america here.

Because sending me a pm going can you call me about my account I can be reached at xxx-xxx-xxxx so hard to do .
