New HD local markets being launched

i still dont believe the Paducah dma will be on the sat they are uplinked too i still think they will hit the 129. they will have to give everyone in this area new dishes and i find that hard to believe and from what i herd they are still installing 1000.2 in this market. for the 110 119 and 129 to me that would mean install a that dish one day and another day they would have to go back to install yet another one. Time will tell.

Evansville is in the same boat, but I have a feeling they won't change either one. It's happened in the past. No way would I want a wing dish on my house. I would want to be switched over completely to EA.

I think I would have to be switched completely over as where the dish is now, there is no LOS at all to get the EA. I have a clear EA shot at the east end of the house.

Damn it. Just signed up for DirecTV. Wasn't sure if Rochester, MN was really going to happen or not being Charlie promised it "soon" many months ago.

STILL, not a single regret going D* instead of E*!

I was looking at dish chart so I guess Augusta Ga isn't going to be on a ConUS beam I was hoping it might be. It's on 119.

I'm currently getting Pittsburgh HD locals off of 129 (I used to get them off 118.5). Does this mean they will be available on both 77 and 129 or are they moving?

Thanks

Evansville market

I just talked to one of our local tv stations chief eng his station has had NO contact from DISH on them using his stations HD signal.
Whatever this info is worth.

What station is it because they have been receiving and downconverting the HD feeds since the Digital transition.

That's actually quite normal. I know an engineer at a station around here, and when I told him Dish was putting up the locals in HD he was surprised. When they went active he said I was the first to tell him. No one at the station knew. The agreements are usually done with the station owners not the stations themselves which a lot of times, never filters down to the station employees.

I wouldn't worry about it... as it sounds like you are good to go. They'll contact you if they are going to get rid of them off of 129.

So is the consensus here that Dish will require a new dish to pick up 77 for the Evansville locals? Will they pick this cost up or will the sub be required?
