I'm gonna wait out a while to see where thing settle have a feeling we might be able to get something to not churn.:hungry: Maybe I can get BBC A added. :eek:k:Then I will not remember to call back after there has been an agreement tween Faux & E*. :p I really think that F is trying to screw us here.

BBC A does nothing for those of us with AT250 or AEP.

You would think they would offer at least some free PPV or a premium--sheesh.

I will be calling in a few hours to demand something be done, I will not be fooled into viewing the same channels I already have on two different stations.

I'll either come off that phone call with a credit or they will hang up on me - its just that simple.

Uh, come on people, imagine each one of 15 million Dish subscribers posting in this thread:

" I do watch this channel, I don't watch that one ... "

Puhleaz ! Why could you possibly even think that the thousands of SatelliteGuys members care whether each one of the thousands of members watch FX, NatGeo and Fox Sports ?

Maybe I should start posting in every thread what I had for each meal of the day ??

On that note, I don't watch FX, NatGeo, or Fox Sports. Heck, with Dish America, I don't even sub to them.:)

And I had 2 eggs over easy for breakfast:D

FOX Sports Northwest, FOX Sports Pittsburgh, FOX Sports Rocky Mountain
I'm going to guess that Fox doesn't own these 3, since they don't seem to be affected.

edit: Just looked them up, they're owned by Liberty as part of the sale of Directv from Fox to Liberty.

So, let's see. DISH will lose revenue from those that do jump ship and FOX will lose ad revenue due to less viewers on the channels in question.

Yep, smart business practice during the time of an economic down turn when you are already losing $. Guess I'll just catch SoA, Sunny and Archer on the net.

I am trying to watch the Georgia vs. Colorado game here in Atlanta. My two FSN's (Fox Sports South 437, and Fox Sports Net 420) are obviously blacked out. But i would imagine that Dish is carrying this game on Fox Sports Rocky Mountain in Colorado? When i search my guide, the game shows up on HDALT channel 444. Will i be able to watch the game on that channel?

no

My thoughts are they may be willing to give a little something here once they get some ideas as to how to reduce the "upset". For me it's the above for others I don't know. Free PPV is worthless unless it's HD & I've never seen them give that away.

Dish said FOX is demanding a new contract with an unprecedented rate increase of more than 50 percent.
My receiver price 7.00 to 17 == 142.% is that also unprecedented ?

Yes, as Dish Network is opening the channel (along with all the regional sports channels) up to anyone who is losing their Fox Sports Network.

Here's a link to the RSN's showing that game

you'll be able to watch them on FSN Rocky Mountains, PrimeTicket, CSN Washington, & CSN Bay Area Plus (alt 444).

How is a channel you already have considered a replacement to one you lost?

HDNet Movies and HD Theater are part of the Platinum add-on pack; if you don't subscribe to that add-on pack then they would be new to you.... actually, I'm surprised that e* didn't pull out stock footage from CNN/SI to replace the RSN's (ala NickGAS)

Thanks to the internet, I can easily work around this but no so for my 92 year old mother-in-law who loves the Braves and watches every game. She won't have a clue as to why the game isn't on TV Friday evening and there is no way to explain this that she will understand.

Don't blackout rules apply in college as well? Aren't you still not able to watch your team play on the other teams feed?

OK...

But the Platinum subs are still screwed

Then that is good for those college fans. But NBA and NHL fans wont be happy if this isn't resolved before the start of those seasons

In the meantime, during the FOX lockout, DISH Network will make the following channels available to all affected customers at no additional charge: HD Net Movies, HD Theater, NBA TV, New England Sports Network, NFL Network, NHL Network, Altitude Sports, Big Ten Network, Comcast SportsNet California, Comcast SportsNet Chicago, Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, Comcast Sports Network Mid-Atlantic, Comcast Sports New England, ESPN Classic, FOX Sports Northwest, FOX Sports Pittsburgh, FOX Sports Rocky Mountain, Mid-Atlantic Sports Network, Mid-Atlantic Sports Network2, SportsNet New York, and SportsTime Ohio.

I think this is a great move by Dish.
