The volume leveling is under Main Menu, System Setup, Audio Output. There is a spot for Volume Leveling enable/disable. It appears the software update automatically selects Enable for it. And I have to agree with one of the previous posters. I absolutely hate the new color when your guide is setup for All Sub. This is on my 722k.

The last couple of days I've been going crazy trying to find out if my TV was dying . My favorites list color had changed, and I thought one of the projector lenses was going out. The reason for my thoughts was because the color is SOOO ugly-looking that I thought "there is no way that this is a 'feature', obviously something is wrong". The thing is everything else was looking good, and I was just wondering, "well, maybe it's my eyes..." :p

I thought something similar when I fired up my 211 a few days ago. The TV hooked up to my 211 is fairly new and I thought something might be wonky. Since everything else seemed fine I checked the software version and noticed a new version. I just chalked it up to that.

I'll have to check my 622 when I get home today and see if it got updated too. Thanks to Scott for posting the update info. At least now I have an idea of what's coming.

I don't have that option on my 722. I have it on my 722k, but not my 722 (L670.)

On the 722 the option is Dolby Digital from the system setup menu and from there you can select an External Decoder (but not volume leveling.)

Canceling downloads

I got the new UI on my 722 yesterday. There used to be a screen showing DishOnline download progress, and I think there used to be a way to cancel a download. Now I have to visit each section and see if anything is still being downloaded, and I can't stop one once its started. Am I missing something?

I sure am glad they fixed them awful colors on the guide, the old ones sure made me sick (not). The new colors just make me PUKE (yup). Don't you just love idiots who like change just for changes sake? G...D...it, if it ain't broke don't fix it ... and fire the fools that did it.

So where is the petition to change the colors back to what they were or better yet give me control of the colors.

Whoa... So the DP322 can indeed support MPEG4?

So that means DISH doesn't even have to upgrade anyone to HD hardware to get EA?

Is that right? Now with the new update?

Guess they'll eventually update the DVR625...

Here's hoping L668 gets to my 722k's soon... Though I'm not looking forward to guide color changes. Especially didn't I hear that GOLD is now All Sub?

That's like the least-legible color, white text on gold, what about my poor grandmother?

No the 322 will have support for the new Western Arc LNB for use on a DISH 1000.4.

Dish is going to be moving to all standard installs putting in a 1000.4 dish then using the correct LNB for your area (a Eastern Arc LNB or a Western Arc LNB)

Hah... Yeah sorry for the confusion... I didn't mean that the 322 could support HD channels now, I just meant I didn't think the 322 was even capable of decoding the MPEG4 SD channels on EA, which I thought was the reason all SD receivers needed WA. However it makes sense that a software upgrade could allow MPEG4 to work, just like downloading a codec on your PC can allow you to play XviD and stuff...

Am I still getting it wrong? Heh.

Oh poo... I didn't read everything in full... Just realized, you're talking about the WA LNB on the 1000.4... Heh. So no EA involved...

That's still pretty neat though, from what I hear with the 1000.4 WA conversion it actually performs better than the 1000.2...

Sounds good.

Does this mean that DISH 500 will be put to rest?

I want to add, if there is SRS volume leveling in the L670 software update and it is secretly hidden but activated, it does nothing.

I'm going to err on the side of it not existing...

I don't know whether I have that option on my 622 or not, but if I do, it's definitely not enabled.

Just thought about this... Forgot about the fact that some people need wing dishes for 129 in particular, some for 61.5, but overall for those locations that can use a single-dish solution, the 500 will no longer be used.

Has dish abounded the VIP 922? No update to make searching dish online easier.

No integration yet available for the google box.

No bug fixes for miss recordings, the reboot bug and sling not connecting to your receiver from time to time.

Is their a new box being developed to replace the buggy 922?

The Logitech Revue premieres on Oct 6th, I would think everyone should get the update prior to that date. Hummmm!
