The other channel sounds interesting; I hope that it something that someone will want to watch...
I've seen ads for this channel from Dish. The ads say ala carte for $3.00 and HD is also available. This I guess means the SD channel for the 3 bucks and more for the HD signal. Way overpriced in my opinion.

I know many say they would like a la carte, but with the limited offering of a la carte, it seems rather expensive. So, I agree with you on that. For example, all a la carte on the Dish page is a total of $44 before taxes. That is not even counting other a la carte such as the unadvertised Encore Movie Pack for $5. However, someone most likely would not choose everything that is listed, but one could probably do better by just subbing to a pack with those channels in it. If you want one channel like The Outdoor Channel, then it may not be bad if you do not want to have the base package of America's Top 250. A la carte has its advantages and disadvantages.

C-SPAN 3 HD
Funimation Channel HD
Gospel Music Channel HD
I suppose that I will stay away from guessing sports or/and religious channels.
If not, then I will be totally surprised tomorrow even if it is an existing channel already on Dish.
The only channel I'm still wishing for is ESPNU HD but, I know that is not going to happen anytime soon. Other then that, I don't think there is any channel out there, that we don't already have, that I'm dying to see in HD. Every channel I watch on a regular basis is already in HD except ESPNU.
If AMC HD is on Dish, then I think anything is possible. Who would have thought that AMC HD would have ever launched on Dish?

Great, more watered down HD from Dish. I'd rather they take some away and give me better quality on the existing channels. What a scrooge!
