The NFL has moved this weekend's game between the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings to Monday night because of a blizzard that hit Minneapolis.
"Due to the severe weather conditions and on the recommendation of Metrodome officials, the Giants-Vikings game will be moved to Monday night," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said in a statement. "The kickoff time at the Metrodome and television arrangements will be announced as soon as they are determined."
The Giants couldn't reach Minneapolis on Saturday. The team is spending the night in Kansas City.

Intresting, we are having our snow issues as well, wonder if any viking fans will travel? if they dont will be intresting to see teams play in empty place?

Now Monday is in doubt. The big inflatable toilet has collapsed. Time for the teams to man up and play at the Gophers new TCF Bank stadium.

TCF was considered for a few minutes, till they were told that the place had been closed down for the winter and would take several days to get ready.

What sucks is not that the game moved, or that the roof in Minneapolis collapsed, or that Giants have a short week to play the Eagles, but that Fox CT here in Connecticut (obviously) has already stated on their website that they will not be showing the game . . . this sucks !!!!!!!!

ALso the Giants didnt have their outdoor gear to play at the bank (TCF Bank Stadium)

also The game will be broadcast in the New York City, Minneapolis, Rochester and Mankato, Minnesota markets. The game will also be available to Sunday Ticket subscribers on DirecTV. More details will follow.

Any ticket holders for the original Giants-Vikings game will be admitted and given preferred seating along the 50-yard line. Free general admission tickets to the game will be available at the Ford Field box office beginning at 8:00 a.m. CST.

also favre's streak will end at 297 games (nfl record) as he will not play monday

Now that the Metrodome's roof has collapsed, why can't they just renovate the dome for the Vikings & add a retractable roof like they are building at BC Place in Vancouver? Why do the Vikings HAVE TO HAVE a new stadium period? Is it parking or public transportation? It's not like the Metrodome is in the middle of nowhere like Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg,FL. My house is in need of repair, maybe I should just tell the city I live in to build me a new home(at taxpayer expense),or I'll move to another city that will build me a new home(at taxpayer expense). How absurd is that statement?

As a Comcast sub(now)I find it pretty unfair that D* subscribers are the only ones who can see this game nationally,it shows that if that game did not get postponed my local affiliate WZTV Fox 17 was going to carry that game. Why can't they just put it up nationally, Fox is showing repeats tomorrow night. I would like to see how the ratings would do up against MNF on ESPN
