Are you from the south?

Ive been to south Florida several times, and it is hot. Ill tell you though that south mississippi and Bama is just as bad and probably worse though. No ocean breeze on three sides giving a "cooling" breeze. lol (if that even makes sense).

IN any case, anyone out of the south talking about humidity and heat.....I always laugh .

There is no such thing as a "cooling breeze" in the months of June through mid October in Miami.... ;-) It's just hot air blowing around to prevent the gnats from going up your nose and flying in your ears.

You don't KNOW humidity till you've come up north.
I spent the summer of 1996 living in Columbus, OH, and it was heaven. It got over 90 maybe 15 times, total, and there were plenty of mornings in the 50s and 60s.
And you want to STAY where it's OVER a 100 regularly ?
The older I get, the more I HATE summers here. However, with a mortgage, two car notes, and a kid to put through college, there isn't much I can do other than spend a couple of weeks each July/August in the cool mountain air of northern New Mexico.

On the other hand, I have a pension and can retire in 2025. My kid will be 16 then, so it won't happen, but I like to think it will.

Ya, I was down south once and it was nice then too, but once out of the 100 times just doesn't cut it.

Yeah, it has been warm, although we have a had a cool snap or two.
I will say that I have been cutting grass since late February, that should tell you something. lol In fact, I just got through cutting it for the 5th time this year.
Really? I lost count already. Just finished cutting it again. Anyways, why am I still posting in this thread? Hehe

Didn't we fight a war to shut you hillbillies up about 140+ years ago?

Apparently you northerners do everything half A@#@W.... :D

And still cant win anything in football. ;)
I guess we have to decide again which southern team will win the BCS championship again this year. I really wish we had some competition.

Winters 4-5 months, the 90+ down there is 10 out of 12 months.

Hence grass cutting in feb......and multiple football national championships. I mean you northern guys cant play in nice weather if I remember correctly....:D

I am confused here. Since when does the ability to cut your grass mean nice weather? LOL!

I mean you can cut grass at 40 degrees...that only means there is no snow on the ground.

But winter sucks, I can put the A/C on if it gets to cold plus I don't think I would have to shovel snow or worry about ice on the roads and last but not least I can wear shorts all year round. :D

You can always put ON more clothes, you CAN'T always take more clothes OFF.

As for wearing shorts year round, work would probably frown on that ...

Well grass aint growing when its freezing cold out. Not grass that you would want in your yard anyway. So if the grass is growing, it would mean that you have warmer (nicer) weather for most of the year.
