I went to see the last time they faced each other thinking the same thing....and everyone knows what happened then. The only no-no I have ever seen live.

Slumping Milton Bradley was cut by the Seattle Mariners on Monday, leaving the temperamental outfielder again looking for a new job.

The Mariners designated Bradley for assignment, giving them 10 days to trade, release or send him to the minors. He was making $13 million this season.

"The situation with Milton is that we determined he's not part of our future and not part of our present," Mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik said.

It's ridiculous to me that a loose cannon like Bradley can be making that much money.

Like I said...All the pub goes to Halladay. Johnson pitched his ass off today and SHOULD be 3-1 versus Roy. Oh well. Johnson lowers his ERA to 1.63, best among starting pitchers with at least 45 innings pitched and #2 overall in all of MLB. Last 7 starts, 3-1, with 4 no decisions, averaging 7 innings and only giving up more than 2 runs once, lowering his ERA a full run...from 2.70 to 1.63.

Without a shadow of a doubt, one of the premier pitchers in all of MLB...top 3 easily, top 5 at the very least.

Name two pitchers that have been as consistent AND as good as he has that one is not Roy Halladay in the last 3 years? Since his injury year, where he had "tommy john" surgery(2007), he has gone 35-13, with an ERA at or around 2.80... And this is on some Marlins teams team with some GOD awful bullpens.

The NL East is going to be IMPOSSIBLE to crack! The Marlins, though early, have the 2nd best record in the NL and 3rd best record in all of MLB...and they are STILL 2 games behind.

Tomorrow's pitching match-up against the Phils is no slouch either. Ricky Nalasco(4-0) against Cliff Lee(2-3).

Name two pitchers that have been as consistent AND as good as he has that one is not Roy Halladay in the last 3 years? Since his injury year, where he had "tommy john" surgery(2007), he has gone 35-13, with an ERA at or around 2.80... And this is on some Marlins teams team with some GOD awful bullpens.

Over the last 2-3 years, I'll take Halladay, and Lee before Johnson.

I am in no way dissing him as he's very good and I like him as well.

It's a different world, which Halladay was exposed to for the first time last year...and he kinda answered those questions by throwing a no hitter in his first playoff game!

Andy Pettitte, Matt Cain, Tim Lincecum, Josh Beckett, Cliff Lee, and a bunch of others have proven to come up big when it matters most. Johnson has not yet proven that.

Hopefully he'll answer that when he's on the Yankees.

No way baby! He will be here for a long time. Him, Hanley and Mike Stanton are the corner stones of the franchise. IF you get them, they will more than likely be past their prime. Those were ALL teams supposed to be out of it by July. The pennant race does not JUST START in September. You ARE in a pennant race in August.

I find it funny how you say he is unproven, yet you can't wait for your team get their greedy little paws on him. LOL! Why go after such an "unproven" commodity?
