Hot-TV on 118C

Heard that in another forum ....a person works in a TV station and they got an email from HOT TV telling them that.

Thanks, I haven't tried to see if AMG has a website yet. They didn't seem to have any tv on their station before lunch. I checked AMG several times and it all looked like infomercials to me, same as late last night. I never have seen anything on that channel that looked like regular programming.

Aw darn it! I left my meter turned on when I went to my folks house the other day and it's way, way, way dead...
It's chilly out tonight and NO mosquitoes! I was going to go out and try to get that poor little WSI 6' dish lined up on 97 tonight.
It's been sitting there rusting away, unused. AMG and HOT give me motivation to get out there and get it working, I need to get SOME use out of it.
I like to leave my 10' dish sitting on 87 because I watch it so much. Even though it's motorized it might as well be stationary.

I guess I need to take that WSI dish down, strip and sand it and paint it properly. Or trash it. If I don't do something soon with it it will rust totally away.
The Gulf Coast is very unforgiving.


edit: Got it! I charged my meter for a few hours and went out there and found the good stuff! It only took me about 3 minutes to adjust the LNB and I'm in business for AMG/HOT now! Woo hoo!! Now I am watching Cinema Insomnia which is an excellent fill-in for the 1am to 3am dead zone. I don't care for the war stuff.. I loves me some BAD B movies!!

Thanks guys for the inspiration to get off my lazy backside and put that poor old dish back in service!

ever since AMGTV moved transponders (from Horizontal to vertical) its much easier to get it on a 6 footer

Question: Does AMG / HOT on Galaxy 19C a 24 hour channel?

At night it comes in great, in the day time, not at all. Now this is on my damaged and rusted up WSI 6' dish.
I don't have my 10' dish configured to get Galaxy19.

yes its on 24/7 but I have seen that happen too on my "good" 6 footer. Works really good at night but during the day it can be low quality or non-existant for some reason

Well I just moved my 10' dish over and used my S10 to do an "accurate scan" on it.
I found the LATV and BYU channels so I ~know~ I'm on the right satellite but it does not find AMG / HOT now. I guess it has to do with the sun messing with it, I assume..

What a bummer... Oh well, at least it comes in really good at night..

It's been a long time since I watched anything on AMG. Around the time RTN was going down a few years ago I found the "Out There TV" program rerun on AMG one night before it became "Matrix News" and went away. I always remember that show because it was the first show I ever tuned into with my Fortec Lifetime Ultra receiver in 2004.

I used to watch AMG on 123 during the last days of Equity. Right when I first dipped my toes in the satellite pool of coolness.
I had soooo much trouble finding stuff and aligning the dishes (I was very GREEN). Just about the time I finally got it lined up and working right, Equity went bye bye. Then the same thing with White Springs. I'm always late to the party!

Oh, and I couldn't get AMG last night until after midnight..

Used to have KCPM, MyNetworkTV, OTA. Weak, but watchable, until the digital conversion. Then it BOOMED with a 90 signal Q when they went digital. Didn't last long tho- lost sound within a short time. Emailed them and got reply "waiting for new equipment". Then, within a week or so, they left the air. NADA-Zilch OTA but still available on some area cable systems. Emails to them now go unanswered. Telephone number listed is their legal rep in DC. No replies to messages. Hopefully, the same scenario does not play out.

Got video, well, a infomercial on HotTV @ F3. Rescanned and still scans in as HotTV. So, is it back???

EDIT: just saw station ID, KCWI. Looks to be CW affiate.

I still can't seem to tune in 118 (trees) so I have no way to know what's going on on that satellite.

I read earlier that HOT was merging with AMG on 97. I have a dish aimed at 97 and I do get AMG on there but I haven't seen any indications of HOT being there or time sharing that channel.

Is there any news on this merger / move things?

KWWF TV...use to be Untamed Sports but now had a real old crappy movie on so I dont know yet
KTRG...ole ole ole ole....AKA Spanish

WUVF..Univison (see KTRG)
WUMN..see WUVF and KTRG
KUKC...see WUMN, WUVF and KTRG
KDEV-LP...its mainly a MeTV affiliate but 2 hours behind the national one...they do carry My Network programming during primetime weeknights

KWWF did have untamed sports on earlier-I looked at it around 5pm. Not sure what will be going on that channel that took Hot-TV slot, but I DO like the "no screen bug" on there! House was on tonight , early, but I haven't looked since.

So, HotTV is no more? Did they just go under already? Sell out? Or did they merge with AMG and move to another satellite?
I have AMG on 97 but I've not seen any shows on AMG except AMG listed stuff.
I added AMG and HOT to TitanTV, both are still listing separate schedules and very different shows from one another.
Maybe I'm just lost in outer space on another planet and aimed at the wrong satellite?

I haven't seen any statements from them Dee, after watching HOT for a few days it began to look like it had been started, equipment left running and abandoned. They showed the same 2 or 3 episodes of most of the series they were running-don't know how many times I saw Jim Backus give away Joan's entire wardrobe to the charities lol. Sure like to know myself what happened to 'em. Maybe they just couldn't get anybody to carry them on their stations.
