Questions about The Hopper?

Why are our choices of such great concern to you?
So, enlighten us. That's what these message boards are for...a free exchange of ideas. I've asked why would someone do that, but you won't answer. But you were sure to bring it up in the first place. Maybe your answer would give some others an idea they can use for their own situation.

He told you, very specifically, why he would do that. All of his reasons are spot on, for his situation......

i said this the last time.

i have UPS in the equipment closet to prevent power issues from damaging the hopper units and external drives.

one of the two units will be used for theater display although both could be used.

additionally, from an aesthetic point of view it is easier to "hide" the Joey than a hopper.

Oops, I somehow missed his post, as my original response was to you, Bobby, so I got your "garage" comment mixed up with his later reply to me.

Hopper with 2 Joey setup...PTAT is on one tuner with two free tuners...if someone is watching a movie that was recorded two days ago, that means only one tuner is left??? or since they are watching a dvr'd program, there are still two tuners???

No a recorded show does not use a tuner. :)

So there will be 2 tuners still available???

That may change my outlook on keeping the 1 Hopper 2 Joey setup then...I wouldn't mind 2 Hoppers but cost will not allow me to do so at this time...

In fact, all 3 TVs could be watching DVR titles, or all 3 TVs could be watching PTAT content as it's recording (chase play), and there would still be the other 2 tuners available.

Thats great news...thanks for the quick response

That has been changed. It now records all shows within the primetime window even if it is not a network show (such as the news many FOX stations air at 10)

I have a question about PTAT. I live in a market area that has multiple network stations. Is there a way to tell it which stations I want? Just to clarify, I get the stations from Waco and College Station.

I don't think I've ever been as excited about a receiver upgrade as I am the Hopper / Joey system. I can't WAIT to have it installed! :D

Good. Can I send you a T-shirt to wear? On the front, it proudly proclaims "I AM A PIONEER!" and on the back it has a catchy design of concentric red circles surrounding a dot.

;)

Sounds good...I just noticed it after watching the video for the 1000000000 time haha and noticed it...5 more days and counting!!!

I just watched the video again, and though it was confirmed In a post I asked at about the 10.57 mark I think it discussed that the same UI available with the joeys, I had never noticed that in the video until now
