I just received my sling adapter to go with my new hopper. The dish remote access app refuses to admit my receiver is online. Hell I even started streaming some on demand content. On my account page it shows my hopper is intact connected to broadband but the dra just keeps telling me its offline. I actually got on my computer and was able to watch live TV from slingbox.com. Is there an issue with dishremoteaccess or have any ideas. I have also tried dish remote access on 2 android devices with the same results. Its awesome on my pc... Wish it would work on my tablet or phone.

Yes. I have even rebooted all devices multiple times. It continually says that my dvr does not have internet. Therefore I cannot connect to it. Is there any sort of special router settings or port forwarding?

Please send me a PM with your phone or account number. Also include the type of modem/router you have, and how you have the receiver connected to the internet. Thank you!

update- my wireless signal is only around 35. which gets me about 8Mb/s on slingbox.com (home network) but it must be below threshold for dish to register the receiver being online. i hooked directly into the receiver with an ethernet cord and suddenly dra says its online however instead of streaming through the home network its going over the internet.... thoughts? One step closer it seems.

Mine works OK w my PC. And will work on my tablet but it is slow recognizing my dvr as online even though I can see it on my network. Seems like I have to wait about 3 or 4 minutes before DRA for android sees my rcvr. I'd b interested in any tipsbu learn.

Hi Guys, having hoper installed today. I don't have a sling adapter but slingbox, when I set it up is there a hopper receiver to chose from
For set up or do I go with another receiver I should choose from

Update- adjusted my wireless adapter to get above 40. Now my android tablet will see dvr. However it will only recognize the stream as being local if my tablet is on the router wireless connection and not on my powerline wireless extension even though both the tablet and the dvr are hooked into the wireless powerline extension. I think however that this is all I will be able to debug with my current setup.

One thing that actually works well I this situation is to use splashtop remote desktop and tap into my hopper from a PC on the main router and stream to it, then with splashtop stream to my tablet. Sounds like slot of work, but the slingbox doesn't play well with the powerline bridge

Yeah same here. The only thing I have found that works is to hit the refresh button over and over till it pops up.

I just had a new hopper + sling installed and my remote app (iPad) kept giving an error that it couldn't connect. I finally just deleted the Dish app and re-installed it and from then on it recognized the new receiver. I think it was still looking for the old one, and nothing I tried seemed to work except this.
