Congrats to the Kings and their fans. What a playoff run......the Kings went through their opposition like a hot knife through butter!!

On this night, I think back to the 1970's and the gold and purple uniforms, and former Kings greats Marcel Dionne, Rogie Vachon and Larry Murphy. None of them won a Cup with the Kings, but tonight the Kings are THE Kings of the hockey world!!

Blackhawks, Bruins, Kings- we're seeing a run of drought-busting Cup champs (49, 40, and 45 years, respectively).

It's really something to see many a team vanquish decades of playoff demons and hoist the Cup.

Blackhawks, Bruins, Kings- we're seeing a run of drought-busting Cup champs (49, 40, and 45 years, respectively).

Just the the Red Sox (86 year drought) and White Sox (88 year drought) winning back-to-back World Series in 2004 and 2005.

I don't keep with hockey much,but weren't the Kings the 8th seed in the west?They totally dominated the playoffs.
