I think Dish is planning some more Roku partnerships, an opportunity to make more money from those who now have a Roku at their disposal. ;)

Yes with the amount that Roku's that are going out they may have something planned perhaps?

OK so I had been rebuffed three times all by the Loyalty department saying that I was not eligible for the free Roku. I just now called #: 1-888-873-5765 (Special Retention Team) and wow was the lady I got nice. There was no wait time unlike the online chat and when I mentioned the free Roku offer she immediately said ok and offered me the $35 credit to cover one season of Walking Dead!. I didnt push or ask for any credits as I already have two on my account. I am only 3 months into a recent upgrade so am still in contract. It has certainly been fustrating today but finally I found a good number and spoke to a friendly understanding person who helped me out. Even though I marked no on the poll.....I now have to change that to a yes. If you are having trouble with the Loyalty Department try the Special Retention Team.

I will try the chat when I get home from work. But what exactly do you get with Roku? Is there a monthly subscription required? Can you watch any shows from the Roku?

Most of it links to subscription services like netflix and such. But there is some free programing. Check out the Roku website, has some good info there

I had welcome pak for almost all of my 2 year contract with no locals. I paid 10 bucks a month. (I have directv)

I upgraded online to top 200 first then called retention and got roku plus $10 off for 12 months.

Did you downgrade back to the welcome pack? lol

I got the Roku free but I couldn't get any service discounts. I'll take it. :)

This will give us a chance to drop our packaging down. The only reason we have the package we have now is due to Nick jr for our 3 1/2 year old. We can put the Roku in her room and stream a lot of her shows on Netflix now. :)

hmm....not so sure about doing that.Hope you intend to keep the at200 package for awhile and not abusing the system.

The call in number seems to be the fastest and easiest route to get a roku or credits.Chat wasn't so bad yesterday but, still had to jump through a hoop or 2 extra.

Hopper for free? Heck I would love to get the Hopper for the $100 upgrade fee but I still can't....

All I had to do was mention to the CSR that I lost AMC and read on Sat Guys that if I talk to Customer Loyalty, people that lost AMC were being offered a free Roku and $10 off my bill for 12 months. She transferred me to Customer Loyalty and I told her the same thing and she had me on hold for 30 seconds or so, came back and verified my address and said the Roku will be there in about 7 days and the $10 off would be reflected on my next bill. It was as simple as that. I mentioned in passing that netflix was $7.99mo and she said she thought Amazon was even cheaper. Very nice conversation and no hassels at all. Total time on the phone about 6 minutes.

I'm on the welcome pack & never upgraded when I called, still got a roku without any other discounts.

Are these rokus going to be owned or leased on your account? I thought about calling but don't want to mess up my account because i have owned equipment and grandfathered with no locals.
