CBS should stand for Cheap Broadcasting Sissies. Sadly, Big Brother is the last prime time network TV program aired in 4x3 SD in the USA and CBS is the only big 4 network isn't 100 % HD. Reminds me of Everybody's Talking on ABC from February-December 1967 becoming the last daytime TV program aired in black & white in the USA despite the big 3 networks going full color by September 1967. It's Ironic. One day I would like to hear the announcement We are pleased to bring you BIG BROTHER in HIGH DEFINITION staring next season on CBS! it's based on the announcement of the now-defunct CBS soap Guiding Light went in Color in March 1967. Sadly it's never happening yet. Don't give up hopes!

At this point, I couldn't blame BB's production company. the show has been around a long time, it will cost a lot of money to change out everything with all the cameras they have in the house, and you don't know when CBS will cancel the show so why make the investment now if you aren't going to be guaranteed by CBS that there will be 5 more years of BB to make an investment pay off?

good to know it's still in SD as I didn't watch the premiere tonight and I can set up future recordings on the dish network DVR instead of HTPC because there is nothing to be gained by recording it in HD on the HTPC.

I believe they should invest the money, I did. ;)

Did anyone have trouble with recording BB on Sunday? Our recording had a slate that "We know this station is down...no need to call us."
It stayed up for the whole recording.
