Dish employees get updates first.

So far, STABILITY! Playing around with it now. Any specific questions?

Is it addressing stability or are there any new features or functionality improvements?

And I will be the first to admit.. I could be wrong.. Just checked my Hoppers and I have S219.. Where did you see it posted that we get it first.. Was it on the tech portal?? I went and didn't see anything..

It was a community update. They want us to post feedback for the engineers. Easier to get it from us bc they KNOW we will play with it of we get it first. I didn't see an update about 219 coming out. Just noticed when I looked.

I do analogize to you.. I guess they are sending it out to use first. But still not posted anywhere. And nothing on the tech portal forums..

On S219 Bridging is still disabled. I don't see anything obvious done..

It's no worries man. It may not get posted to TP. The more employees that know the more feedback. Just like everyone else, I want the best of the "Hoppa". If I can help I will.

Seems like moca is still an issue

Was kinda my point. Dish is wanting bugs worked out before its pushed out.

Of course I also thought pretty much everyone was friendly on here.
It always helps to post in a clear manner. That way, people understand exactly what you are trying to say. It can avoid misunderstandings.

Alright you have my attention now. If true, then at least these employees actually get paid to test it out. Unlike when typically the paying customer is the guinea pig.

So S219 is the latest? Stability is the only thing you've noticed? My Hoppers are pretty stable with S217. My main issue is (as you seem to be mentioning) MoCA. I don't ever have MoCA disappear like it is doing with you, but sometimes the other receivers are not shown in the "Whole-Home" menu after the nightly reboots. A red button reboot always fixes it though.

It's not select employees. It's any employee that has a hopper. I haven't had any equip disappear in the whole home but when you reset the moca connection it grey's out. Testing bridging now.

I would think it would depend on what kind of DISH employee you are. I highly doubt that a CSR or an installer is going to get updates first. Any proof to this claim? Or point for that matter?

Yep. Charlie and Mark Jackson, and presumably Dan M. and other "mucky mucks," have stated in past Chats and Forums their experiences with new boxes and updates quite a while before they are ever sent out.

I know, just saying at least they get paid, rather than us customers paying Dish to be guinea pigs.

Still won't work correctly

I've seen that on S217. Had to disable/re enable to fix.

Connectivity is good with bridging enabled. That's a plus.

Bridging is decent here on S217, it's just the whole-home likes to make devices disappear after the nightly reboots, until I do another reboot. Is the Joey software still S268?
