I'm watching the Dish chat right now and they are talking about the demand for more than one Hopper is more than they thought it would be. They are changing the fee to get a second Hopper from $199 to $99. This would be for new customers signing up for Dish and the Hopper system. So now a new customer could sign up and get two Hoppers and three Joeys for just $99 if the get the Top 120 or more for programming. That's a pretty sweet deal.

I have heard more hopper ads on the radio that I have ever heard from Dish before. They must be working.

I'll bet if you are customer in good standing it is possible to get that second Hoppah for $99, if not right this second, in a couple of weeks.....

I'm somewhat surprised Dish is lowering the price. If demand is there, seems like not the time to drop it. Maybe there are enough people who do not get it when they find out it's $199. I think it's quite a value for a new customer to get two hoppahs for $99, might persuade someone looking to make the "jump."

wondering what percentage they consider is "more than they thought it would be"??.... maybe Scott can do some digging since it was only 2% about 2 months ago.

BTW, $100 for a 2H system as a new customer is a no brainer. I'm assuming they're still requiring joeys so back to square one?

Officially I believe so, but many have been able to get just the Hoppahs...
