I am working on the Likes System, there may be a point where "Likes" might not be available or you might even see it twice.

Thanks for your understanding!

Ok the work on the Likes system is now complete (for now)

I do plan on upgrading to the pro version later today which is $159.95

One of the big reasons for moving to the Pro version is I dont like where the Likes Button is located now. You can only move it in the Pro version. :(

The pro version also gives us the following features...

Pro
  • Front-End
    • "Entry List" page; a browseable list of all button clicks
    • Users can hide postbit items via the UserCP
    • Users can turn off notifications via the UserCP
    • Hottest Threads / Posts has a date range filter
  • AdminCP
    • Create unlimited buttons to click
    • Ability to create Post Colour Thresholds to highlight posts in different colours
    • (vB4) Choose what portions of the postbit should be coloured via the post colour thresholds.
    • Minimum posts required to click a button
    • Per-usergroup setting to become immune to clicks of a button
    • Per-usergroup setting whether who clicked a button is displayed
    • Per-usergroup setting to allow disabling clicks of a specific button for a post
    • Per-usergroup setting to allow removing a click of a button
    • Limit button clicks per day
    • Per-forum ability to set each button to only display in the first post
    • Per-forum toggle of what buttons are enabled
    • Set more / less than 5 for the Given / Received statistics
    • Ability to auto-collapse posts using provided formula or input for your own using your custom buttons
    • Move the "Post Like / Thanks" cloud above / below posts, above / below signatures
    • Ability to delete entries found in the Search interface
    • Email notifications (can be disabled globally) on a per-button basis
    • Disable notifications on a per-button basis
    • Set a flood limit (in seconds) that serves as a delay between button clicks
    • Individual users now be excluded from using the mod
    • Turn off individual buttons' integration with non-forum areas
    • Turn off "Given" and "Received stats on a per-button basis
  • Integration
    • Blog Entries
    • Blog Comments
Another thing people might like about the pro version is that they can turn off the Likes feature if they dont like it. :)

I am happy to report that all the likes from the vbSEO version were convered over to the new system!

I "like" the idea of having likes, thanks, and dislikes, but it's really annoying to have a separate line outside of each post. It clutters up the thread. Any way to put them inside the post?

I agree.

Is there a way to turn it off in user settings.

Oh, so now you want me to actually read the thread before I respond to it? ;)

Yeah, I "like" the idea of the ability to move the like/dislike buttons in the pro version. One more suggestion...hopefully they can be moved to the right side of the post window, above or below the reply buttons. :)

I don't know if thats possible or not.

Will see once we get the pro version.

I am trying to order and pay for it now, but I am having a problem with Paypal. For every credit card I enter it tells me "This Credit Card can not be used right now, try again later." Its like their credit card processing is down at the moment or something.

It's much better with the like, thank, and dislike on the bottom of the post, but the totals still seems intrusive. Can it be moved to the bottom, too?

Edit: I see it can be moved by clicking on the X! That's better, although still a bit awkward looking outside of the post.

Here's hoping the Pro version can restore our ability to unlike posts. This way, I can like a post, but then the whole block disappears and I can't do anything further. Using FF 14.1

Ok the Pro version has been purchase and installed.

I have moved the Likes Thanks and Dislike buttons around to all 4 positions that the software supports and where it is now looks the best to me, which is also better then before.

Now something neat in this software that I have enabled... if a post is disliked more then 10 times it is automatically collapsed. This will be handy in the pub. :D (I am sure some of you know what I am talking about) of course if you want to see the message just click on it and it will appear!

Thanks guys for your support.

Should work now. :)

The pro version has a lot more configuration options and there was one option to enable that. :)
