I believe all ports are terminated.

You have a 34, HR24, and 2 31's? You have too many connections to have all them terminated. Even with a CCK you're still 1 line too much

OK that part I can answer

If you deleted the timer and then reset it back up it will show twice in there...I've seen that happen numerous times when I've removed timers and then set them back up.
Also if the actual guide updated it will show that...one copy as cancelled and then after the recording finishes it will say a 2nd time with "recorded"

lemme try and look thru my history on the HR34 and find an example

The 31's dont take up any tuners on the SWM....he is at 7 right now

Not too many tuners, too many connected lines. But he don't, I didn't look close enough the first time, power inserted isn't powering a receivee

The office has finished recording and it says recorded vs. canceled

No separate history entry that reflects canceled.

I will try the hard reset to get latest firmware later tonight. Wierd thing is that this happens (not as frequently) on my HR24 as well.

How do I convince tech support that this is an issue I need them to investigate further....the first guy wasn't overly helpful and said to just.change my recording settings from first run to Both?

I would keep the info in your History so the tech when they send someone out can see what it was saying exactly.

Does the firmware update wipe out the history?

Don't know, never checked.

Ice, Hutch ?

Edit:
After checking MY History, I show like 43 items in it over about a month and I do the CE software update weekly, so that answers that question, No, an update doesn't wipe out the History.

How is the SWM set up even working if the SWM OUT to recvr is not connected ?

It shouldn't work the way it's connected. unislick, can you post a wider angle picture of the power inserter and the splitter?

43 items that got the generic recording canceled because of programming update that didn't record?

Oh, NO, I was just checking to see if the History get wiped out with a reboot.

15 Deleted's, those are ones I have deleted
3 Cancelled , those are ones that I happen to have caught that were recording extra, probably had the show set for Both, instead of 1st run, I know I had one set up that way because my shows are all on the weekdays and I saw one set to record on a Sat.

The rest are all ones that DID Record as they should.

Still doesn't look right to me , unless things have changed since I did mine, and that may have been with all the New stuff going on, however ...

On MY set up, I have a line from the LNB going into the Power Inserter and a line leaving the Power Inserter that goes to the SWM Splitter, now I know the Splitter can be anywhere in the system, but you still should have a "Out to IRD" connection going SOMEWHERE ....

I know Dish, but not Directv (obvious I know based on my stupid questions lately).

So my line from LNB is coming into splitter and yours is coming into PI? If so, is it going into the power to SWM port or Out to IRD port?

Where is your out to IRD connected to?

The SWM PORT goes TO the LNB. (this is on the Power Inserter)

My OUT to IRD (other side of PI) side goes to a spot on the SWM Splitter, labelled IN FROM SWM.

unislick, if you have an HR34, HR24, and two C31s, where does the 5th cable on the splitter go to?

I'm surprised your setup works at all the way it's connected. Connect it the way Jimbo said and you should be good to go.
