That was the first receiver I bought. Got it on Amazon for the same price. It a'int no microHD but it works.

This old technology is pretty much unsellable now. Even nice receivers like old Coolsat 5000 can't be sold locally for $15. I have posted a local ad asking for anybody to donate their old technology receivers to me for my hobby. I'd rather try out a new old receiver than see it go to the dump.

Hmm... this might be worth a shot just to see if I actually can get 30w over/through this big pine tree near me before I invest more money on a decent box. It might be better than buying and returning (or packing away until I move) a good HD box.

Just got one of these stupidly cheap (emphasis on stupid). Apparently it's set to PAL by default, so I can't even get through the menu to set it to NTSC. If anyone can help, cool, but if not, I'll be shipping it back in the next day or two. So far, all it's good for is powering one of those dinky $2 satellite finders.

I know there have been some posts on the "way" to get them to NTSC (meaning what buttons to push even though the screen looks like hell)

I'm pretty sure it's identical to the one in the first post. I believe X-square M1. I bought it mostly to see IF I have LOS for Hispasat before spending money on a good box (microHD).
