I recently signed up for Dish and got the Hopper. In the past on my cable/IPTV DVR, I would record some football games for a friend of mine and then transfer them to a VHS via the composite out, while my TV was hooked up via HDMI.
I am looking to buy a DVD recorder as my VCR has decided it would only record in black and white. Can the Hopper output HDMI and component out (w/ red/white stereo audio) at the same time? Most of the games will be on ESPN or local channels (or other channels that are available in America's "Everything" Pak). I believe some channels (HBO and some of the other premiums?) require an HDCP compliant TV, and I don't mind if those are available to output via component out.
If the Hopper can not do component out and HDMI at the same time, will it do composite out (w/ red/white stereo audio) and HDMI out at the same time?
