Unbelievably,I slept through the WHOLE thing :(,including ALL THREE overtimes!!!!!!

NHL on NBC: Game 1 earns best rating since 1997; Pierre McGuire’s honor defended

I figured that this would be a ratings winner.

I'm not a big hockey guy. I dont really post in this section but I got into that game last night. That was fantastic game!! What drama all the way through. Boston had a great chance on the power play in the 2nd going into the 3rd OT. I dont know how Chicago got caught with too many men on the ice. I thought the goal went in for the Bruins but hit the crossbar. How close was that? Fantastic game all the way around. I figured the ratings would show that.

Maybe I have a sick mind, but I do find this humorous.

'Chicago Stronger' Shirt Yanked After Boston Outrage
http://gma.yahoo.com/chicago-strong...n-outrage-193517560--abc-news-topstories.html

Seriously dude, you find THIS humorous??!! A saying that a city used as a rallying cry to help start the healing process is parodied, and you find it humorous?. The saying has NOTHING to do with hockey, and everything to do with the human spirit.

The Bruins slogan has long been "Big Bad Bruins". If someone created a shirt with the slogan "Little Sad Bruins", THAT would be humorous and in the spirit of competition. "Chicago Stronger" is disrespectful and VERY weak.

Obviously, the individuals who came up with the "Toronto Stronger/Chicago Stronger" weren't thinking clearly with the Boston bombing tragedy happening so close time wise. I'm also sure that if I lived in the Boston area I'd be rightly outraged. However, you can't help but shake your head & maybe chuckle at the thoughtlessness of whoever came up with this "tasteless, inappropriate" T-shirt. It's a gallows humor type of thing. You KNOW it's in bad taste, but you can't help but laugh at it. It's a reflexive response to a (from someone not connected to Boston,so doesn't have the emotion reaction that you would have, especially if I had a friend or family member who was injured or killed) "facepalm moment." I'm not condoning this T-shirt & they did the right thing by taking it off the market, but to me(I'm from Georgia & live in the Augusta,GA area) it's a "did they(the T-shirt maker) really just do that?" moment.

Of course someone should point out to the t-shirt maker that so far the Blackhawks have only won one game & haven't won the finals yet. That's something that the Maple Leafs found out the hard way.

It's not funny no matter how you spin it, and quite frankly it's sophomoric and disgusting. And by the way, it has NOTHING to do with the Blackhawks winning the Cup or not. Again, this transcends hockey or any sport.

I'll just apologize for causing offense & leave it at that rather than dig a deeper hole.

Saturday- STANLEY CUP FINAL- Game 2

Bruins at Blackhawks- 8:00pm ET (NBCSN) Hawks lead series 1-0

I'll go with the Bruins tonight. I still remember how they came back against the Canucks 2-3 seasons ago during the SC finals. You have the Blackhawks playing the way they were at the beginning of the season & you have the Bruins finally peaking. I think tha SC Finals match up is better than the NBA finals match up this year.

I can't imagine why NBC the Major Network cellar dweller, decided to lose a great weekend of viewing for the parent company by putting the Stanley Cup FINALS on the little nbcs...

This choice is ridiculous, its no wonder they are in last place with choices like that.

While the majority have the main NBC, 1 tenth of them have nbcs, if that.

I think that they think it was important to get NBCSN more exposure to people, so they decided that 2 games would go there. By putting games 2 & 3 they were assured that both those games would get played and if the series goes longer, those games, which gets higher ratings, would be on NBC. NBCSN has been getting record ratings for them, and maybe they'll be able to convince some carriers to give it better placement if they can show them better ratings. I'm sure there is a method behind their madness, but by putting those games on NBCSN, they are surely losing out on casual viewers. The diehards will find the game.

It is very stupid. NBC has put two of the Finals game on cable for years now. I think it's to get more eyes on NBCSN (Versus).

However, if they absolutely have to two games on cable, games 2 and 3 are the right choices. Game 1 should ALWAYS be on Big NBC, and games 4 through 7 are potential series clinchers.

especially on Saturday Night when all NBC show are reruns and tonight they have the golf to lead in with so why not put it on NBC?

What was NBCSN's rating before the playoffs ?

What a disgusting display of hockey by the Bruins in the first period. I can't believe it's only 1-0, it should be 3 or 4-0. They better wake up and FAST!!!

I missed the 1st period, but the 2nd doesn't so far look much different.
PP right off the bat and they couldn't do much with only 1 shot on goal and didn't control the puck like you would hope by a PP unit.

When the Hawks played the Wings, the games that the Hawks won, they were the team that was much quicker to the puck and so far it's looking much the same this game.
