I hate the Pats.. but they got seriously hosed last night. From absolutely bad call to no explanation as to why the picked up the flag.

But I am the homer when I mentioned how terrible the refs are during A WIN!

So according to this moron, who should be fired by the NFL, holding or face guarding that occurs is ok as long as the ball is intercepted.
THIS!!!! And my biggest problem is that it was initially called a penalty, and then the flag was picked up. WHY, on such an obvious call? If I'm Belichick, I instruct my DB's to face guard all game next Sunday night against the receivers of the human PI machine, Mr. Manning!! I wouldn't want to be the refs next Sunday night in Foxboro, when Manning gets the benefit of a questionable DPI call (and you KNOW it will happen).

Thank you!! This is the other thing that's pissing people off. The "that's the call, DEAL WITH IT" mentality!

You are a homer, but that doesn't make you wrong. :D

NFL refereeing has been on the decline for a few years. I don't always blame them though, the rule book has become too thick.

Screw the rule book on that last play. A 10 year old could've/would've/should've made the correct call with the naked eye!!

The Pats should be 9-1 and not 7-3 if it weren't for the dumb refs and cry baby Ryan.

NO chance at an under thrown ball ? Hello, he's the most versitile tight end in all of football!

GImme a break!

How to you spell PANTHERS WIN in French?

B U L L S H * *

Aside from that call the Panthers played the Pats hard so lets not call the win BS. If there's no defensive holding there and you lose then what?

This I can agree with. The call was BS, but at the end of the day the Patriots need only look in the mirror. The defense couldn't get off the field on third down......that is a recipe for losing games.

Am calling baloney on the ref's manure call. Sometimes I wish Mark Cuban had an NFL team since his antics did manage to improve the quality of referreing in the NBA

I don't understand that either. Of course Gronk didn't have a chance to catch that ball, not when he was raped in front of 75,000 people! IMO, the NFL has a lot of 'splaining to do.

To be fair they would have got off the field if McCourty doesn't get called for Olsen holding him. Oh and the ball went 10 yards over his head, why wasn't that uncatchable??????

The refs didn't cost the Patriots a win but they cost them an opportunity to try and win.
